The small Vourni beachcalled by the locals Ballos beach, we find it in the southern part onthe west coast of the beautiful Tinos Island less than twokilometers away from the Kionia village considered a bit thesummer bathing place of the Greeks which despite tourism has managedto maintain a relaxed and typically Hellenic atmosphere.

Collected in a bay, it has asmall coastline of soft golden sand, transparent, crystalline andalmost always calm waters given its position that shelters it fromthe winds, an unmistakable blue sea and gently sloping seabed perfectfor families with children and for those who like to enjoy longswims.

Behind tamarisk trees thatgive shade and respite during the hottest hours as well as giving thelandscape a postcard atmosphere. Vourni beach despite its small sizeand quite outside the tourist circuit, is equipped with sunbeds andumbrellas but if you are more free you can spread out your beachtowel in the free part, as long as you find your corner.

Vourni beach is very wellpreserved, always clean and almost perfect as it is very well caredfor by the managers of the bar and tavern who are particularly keento keep intact the gift that Mother Nature has granted them.

To break up the day, you cantake a walk and reach the small church of Agia Talassini just abovethe beach with its typical architecture with its blue dome andimmaculate white walls, usually open for visits but we recommend asit is a sacred place to have a suitable clothing.

For those who perhaps want tostay a night in this corner of Tinos, they will have the opportunityto sleep in one of the rooms that are rented out for short periods(usually just one night) which are located near the restaurant.

It is necessary to have yourown vehicle first of all whether it is a four or a two wheeler isalways your choice. Keep the village of Kionia as a reference point,from any part of the island you will be heading south-west followingthe road signs. Once you arrive in Kionia you will find at the endwhere the asphalt ends a dirt road on the left, take it and in lessthan no time you will have reached your destination.

You can also orient yourselfwith the sign towards Ballos Tavern or Bianco Beach Bar which willtake you to the beach.
