The beautiful Vitali beach, we find it in the north east part of the island of Andros about fifteen kilometers from Gavrio.
One of the most beautiful things in reaching Vitali beach is the path that will allow you to admire the island in all its beauty, crossing the mountain with spectacular views until you reach a dirt road that lasts about three kilometers before arriving in Heaven. In this regard, we recommend renting an off-road vehicle because with a normal car it can be difficult and dangerous especially for the vehicle.
The Vitali beach has a small pebble beach and is bathed by very clean and transparent waters with an iridescent turquoise color. The seabed drops very quickly but unlike many other beaches here, the sea is warmer. Given its position it is always protected from winds and to increase this characteristic are also the rock formations that surround it like a protective embrace.
Finding the shade here will be really easy, you can choose whether to sit on a soft bed under the umbrella or under the natural rocks on both sides. It is equipped as we said above with parasols, deck chairs, a bar for something fresh or a quick snack and a typical tavern where you can relax and taste traditional local dishes all with a view of the splendid bay. How could you ask for more?
A secluded beach and if you are lucky never too crowded given the difficulty in reaching it but that will be an unforgettable experience because starting from the trip it is all a continuous pleasant surprise.
Snorkelers will feel in a garden of delights in Vitali beaci as the rock formations on the sides of the inlet are excellent natural habitats for guests of the sea, and as always we recommend that you observe them but do not annoy them or try to catch them for collection only. Even amateur fishing lovers will be able to find a source of fun in Vitali beach, apparently here ‘the fish are abundant and well inclined to bite.
A hidden jewel where you can spend a relaxing day at the beach and breathe iodine a lot while enjoying a truly extraordinary view of nature still thanks to God uncontaminated by mass tourism.
Let’s start by saying that you must necessarily have your own vehicle and the most suitable one is certainly an off-road vehicle. For centaurs we recommend an experience on dirt roads and a lot of attention also because if unfortunately something happens to the vehicle or to you, being able to recover it becomes difficult and economically demanding. For the journey you have to take the main road if you start from Gavrio, otherwise you have to reach the town and then follow the signs for Agios Petros up to the Vitali sign. From here the road began to be unpaved to the beach.
Certainly a bit uncomfortable to reach Vitali beach but when you are on holiday there are no timetables to follow and even if it takes longer than usual it does not matter, only for the splendid coast and the wonderful views that will appear in front of the your eyes will definitely be worth it.
Don’t be afraid on the road, include Vitali beach in the things to do in Andros, it will be one of the most beautiful things you will remember of your holiday in Greece.
