We find Stegna Beach southeast of Rhodes Town about thirty kilometers away, near the Archangelos village, the third largest village on the island.

It has a beach of soft golden sand mixed with gravel about a hundred meters long with the hills behind and with a turquoise and transparent sea. The sandy bottoms and which descend slowly are ideal for children and for those who love to swim but be careful because in the center there are rock formations that are very popular for those who love to climb (I recommend you do it with rock shoes not barefoot because they are sharp and slippery) and for those who love snorkeling.

In past years, Stegna beach was very popular with local inhabitants and among hippies who enjoyed this piece of paradise in peace and solitude. To date, however, tourists also visit the beach but it is never overcrowded, always remaining a quiet, relaxing and privacy place.

It is equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, showers, toilets, water sports to have fun with friends or family, excursion boats, mini markets and a few restaurants offering local delicacies. Stegna is well known throughout Rhodes for its always fresh fish.

For the little ones also in the village of Archangelos, the Faethon farm http://www.faethon-rodos.gr/ with its miniature horses will make you live a special day in the company of these cute and fantastic animals.

It is not difficult to get to Stegna beach, just get to Archangelos and follow the signs. A path with a steep zigzagging road but with a splendid view of the bay will bring you near the sea, park your vehicle and a few steps you will be in paradise.

Stegna also deserves to be included in the things to see in Rhodes, find a moment to dedicate some time to it will be a wonderful experience.
