Paneri Creative Mediterranean Cuisine, (https://paneri-creative-mediterranean-cousine.business.site/ ) is a nice restaurant managed by Savvas and Evi which in 2019 decide to take over. We find it in the Rhodes old town , full of mysterious charm and history.
A family run restaurant, where Savvas head chef with two other sous chefs and Evi who takes care of the dinning aerea together with therir niece, offer a cuisine based on Mediterranean dishes but with a creative note. However, they are all recipes of the classic Greek cuisine and of the area only seen with a different perspective that will give your palates that extra touch.
Also very careful to the latest food trends, they also offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten free meals, something not yet widely adopted in Greece, therefore giving the opportunity also to those who have problems with intolerances or to those who have adopted different lifestyles.
Everything is prepared with always fresh ingredients such as fruit or aromatic herbs that come from the personal garden of Savvas and Evi, while vegetables, fish and meat are instead local historical suppliers of the Rhodes island.
The tip dishes of Paneri Creative Mediterranean Cuisine are the prawn ravioli prepared from the pasta with the filling directly from them (the filling consists of very fresh prawns like mitzithra cheese and shellfish broth), the grilled octopus on a bed of mashed chickpeas and seasoned with a homemade vinegrette, the squid stuffed with feta (I would eat quintals) seasoned with a delicate Gaspacho and basil pesto, tagliatelle with lobster. Try the lamb shank with a mashed potato in demi glace sauce and lots of other mouth watering delicacies.
The prices although you are in the old city which is usually more expensive than the other areas but you will understand why when you go inside and believe me it is worth all, depends on what you choose to eat. The restaurant is usually open from mid April until early November from 12.00 to 23.00. It is not strictly necessary to book, maybe during the high season a call is better to make it though. They accept credit card for payment except American Express.
So why go and eat at Paneri Creative Mediterreanea Cuisine? Because the cuisine is delicious and the creative touches of Savvas and his staff enhance the flavors even more, because it is a very peaceful and relaxed environment and Evi will make you feel at home and because it has a wide variety of dishes that can satisfy all tastes. Last and not least, the location, after dinner take a walk in the old town is really pleasant and romantic.
