The beautiful and popular Potami Beach, we find it in the southwestern part of the green Samos Island, less than five kilometers from the town of Karlovasi also called Karlovassi located right in one of the most fertile and productive areas of the island and closest to Turkey so much so that from the coast it is possible to see and almost touch the Sigacik Bay which is less than two nautical miles away. Potami in Greek means “river” and the name of the beach derives from the Potami Kastanias river which passes right in the middle of the shore.
It is very easy if you have your own vehicle and better still the car in this case, the Samos island is large and has many things to see, follow the main road to Karlovasi and then the road signs that point to the beach.
