Paros Beaches

Paros Island, pearl of the Cyclades Islands, has many suggestive beaches all with a blue colored sea, crystal clear and for all tastes. Very fine sand and seabed that descend slowly are certainly the most suitable for a holiday in Greece with children. From super-equipped to super-wild where sometimes strong winds are the joy of windsurfers and kitesurfers who flock to the island every summer.

Here as always our selection on the most beautiful beaches of Paros and not to be missed if you will be guests in this little paradise:

Livadia Beach

In the northwest part of thParos island, Livadia Beach is the main beach of the town of Parikia. In the shape of a crescent forming a beautiful bay, the beach has a golden sandy shoreline with occasional trees that provide shade. The sea with its clear blue water has a seabed that slowly descends, ideal therefore for those who come on holiday in Greece with children. At times free and at times equipped, behind a vast choice of bars and typical taverns where you can taste the local specialties. Numerous water sports at your disposal. Reaching it is really easy as you are right in the city. It is located approximately seven hundred meters from the port.

Marchelo Beach

Marchelo Beach also called Martelo, Marchello or Martselo, is located in the northwest part of Paros and is considered one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Located in the Parikia Bay it is a long and narrow coast of soft light colored sand and sometimes pebbles bathed by a clear blue sea with a seabed that slopes slowly. Small coves hidden behind the beach where peace and tranquility makes them a favorite destination for naturists.

Kolymbithres Beach

Kolymbithres beach isi located in the north east part of the Paros island in the large Naoussa Bay or also called Plastira Bay. The most famous of the island for the strange rocks. These are various small inlets with extremely calm and crystalline waters with a gently sloping seabed and a beach of soft golden sand. Some parts are equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, some are not. Beach bars, kiosks, taverns and restaurants, framed across the beach. For lovers of water sports a wide choice of activities. Kolymbithres is a beach suitable for families with children.

Monastiri Beach

Monastiri Beach is located in the north east part of Paros about a couple of kilometers from Kolymbithres Beach. It is a beautiful rocky bay embraced by large hills with a shoreline of soft golden sand, bathed by a calm blue and crystalline sea with shallow waters up to about center meters from the shore, thus making it suitable for those who organized the holiday in greece children. It is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas, a typical tavern with Greek specialties, and a place with live music.

Piperi Beach

Piperi Beach is located in Naoussa in the north east part of the Paros island, about two hundred and fifty meters from the port. It is a narrow sandy shoreline mixed with small crescent-shaped pebbles surrounded by rocks. The blue and crystal clear sea is almost always calm, a perfect place for snorkelers and long swims. Equipped with sun beds and umbrellas, classic taverns and bars, it is ideal for families with children who will be able to have fun safely on the beach and for sunbathers.

Laggeri Beach

It is a beautiful beach of fine and clear sand in the north east part of the Paros island. Laggeri Beach is a very quiet beach connected to a small islet by a thin strip of sand. The sea is transparent and clear and around the area trees make a pleasant shade in the hottest hours of the day. Obviously it is not equipped so bring everything you need if you decide to spend a day in this oasis of relaxation and peace. It is much loved by naturalists as it is secluded and not very popular.

Santa Maria Beach

Santa Maria Beach is located in the north east of Paros. In the picturesque Plastira Bay, it is a long beach divided in two of soft and gold colored sand with a beautiful view of the Naxos island which is right in front. The sea that goes from blue to emerald, is crystal clear and clear with a seabed that goes down slowly making Santa Maria Beach one of the favorite beaches for families with children. It is equipped with sun beds, umbrellas, bars, restaurants, typical taverns where you can taste local dishes, beach volleyball courts and diving centers. For lovers of water sports a large choice of opportunities.

Tsoulakia Beach

Perhaps one of the wildest beaches on the Paros island in the central east of the island just opposite the Naxos island. Given the location is very exposed to winds (the whole east part of Paros Island is more windy than other areas), it is a paradise for sportsmen who love kiteboarding. However, it is a long beach, with two natural coves of fine sand and white pebbles. It is not equipped but nearby and in the Molos and Ambelas villages there are taverns to eat and bars for something to drink.

Molos Beach

In the middle of two hills with a beautiful church overlooking the landscape, Molos Beach is located. In the southeast part of Paros opposite of Naxos, it is a very quiet beach because it is not very frequent because of the wind that blows perpetually. It is in fact one of the favorite beaches for surfers and windsurfers. Near the Marmara village, it is not equipped. It is a shoreline of soft and gold-colored sand with an intense blue sea and immediately deep seabed. It is not really suitable for those who decide to spend their holidays in Paros with children.

Kalogeros Beach

In the southeast part of the Paros siland opposite the Naxos island, there is Kalogeros Beach. Sheltered as surrounded by high cliffs that act as a barrier, it is a dark sand coast with an area behind clay where tourists love to make mud. The crystal clear water is ideal for long swims. It is not equipped. It is suitable for families with children but I recommend that you bring everything from water to food to something to shelter you from the warm Paros sun.

Logaras Beach

In the southeast part of Paros we find Logaras Beach. It is an extremely fine and white sandy beach with an always calm sea and clear, transparent and emerald colored waters. It is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas, bars and typical taverns. Definitely suitable for those who decide to take a holiday with children and for those who want tranquility but with a wonderful sea.

Pounda Beach

In the southeast part of the Paros island it is the most famous beach for nightlife. It is located about two kilometers from Logaras and we are talking about a coast of about two hundred and fifty meters with soft and clear sand with extremely clear and emerald-colored waters with an always calm sea. The area is mainly frequented by young people. Restaurants, taverns and shops there are an infinite number of you will be spoiled for choice. For lovers of water sports and bungee jumping.

Golden Beach

Golden Beach is located southeast of the  Naxos island. Every year in August the world windsurfing championships are organized and for this reason much loved by sportsmen of the sector. Just opposite the islets of Prassonissi and Dryonissi. We are talking about a long beach of seven hundred meters with soft golden sand and an intense blue sea with crystal clear and clean waters. Overcrowded in the summer months, it is also obviously super equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, taverns, restaurants, bars, beach bars and a multitude of water sports. It’s easy to get there by paved road or local buses that leave from most of the large population centers.

Glyfa Beach

In the southern part of Paros, we find the lonely Glyfa Beach. And she is lonely because being a bit difficult to reach, most tourists decide to change their destination, leaving it so that instead they have the courage to make themselves a not very comfortable piece of road which, however, fully pays for the peace and relax once you arrive. We are talking about a small crescent-shaped beach, sheltered from the winds, wild and unspoiled. It is clearly not equipped but Mother Nature comes to our aid with a string of tamaric trees that give natural shade. The sand and gravel shoreline is washed by an always calm, turquoise and clear sea. A small kantina for something to drink or eat (always if you find it). An ideal place for lovers of nature and tranquility where you can get lost in a book or in your thoughts.

Farangas Beach

Farangas Beach is located in the south west part of the Paros island about fifteen kilometers from Parikia and three from the Alyki village. It is a beach with a wild flavor suitable for nature lovers but at the same time they do not want to be right outside the world. The coast protected from the winds as in a rocky bay, it is golden sand and small pebbles. The clear and crystalline sea is almost always very calm. The seabed is mainly sandy but at times there are medium-sized rocks and pebbles so be careful when you enter the water. Partly equipped with a beautiful bar that offers sun beds and umbrellas, drinks and quick lunches, a part instead completely free. To reach it there are no buses, you must necessarily have your own vehicle and getting there is easy from the main asphalted road, go down a secondary road to the beach. For your holiday in Paros, we recommend a day in this part of the island where you can regenerate both mentally and physically with a beautiful and long swim.

Agia Irini Beach

The beach is located in the western part of the Paros island a few kilometers from Parikia. An unusual beach that is more reminiscent of the Caribbean than Greece because of the numerous palm trees that surround the coast. To get there like all good things is a bit difficult but feasible in a big way, from the main asphalted road you have to walk on a dirt path. We are talking about a small beach practically a tongue of coarse-grained gold-colored sand bathed by a clear and crystalline sea perfect for snorkelers and for long swims. You will find the church of the same name on the waterfront on the right. Behind the beach a campsite surrounded by olive trees and palm trees with a fantastic tavern with Greek specialties. A corner of paradise but aime ‘in the summer months a bit crowded, so then, who first arrives better stays.

Anargiri Beach

In the north east part of the Paros siland near the Piperi village, we find Anargiri Beach. It is a long beach of soft gold-colored sand with a crystal clear and transparent sea. Surrounded by trees that provide natural shade in the hottest hours of the day, in summer it is quite crowded. It is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas, taverns, bars and all the main services. It is certainly a suitable place for those who decide to organize their holiday in Paros with children and for those who want a spectacular sea.

Faneromeni Beach

Just opposite the Paros siland, the picturesque Antiparos island. I recommend that you drop in on the day as it is really worth it. It is located on the extreme southern tip and is considered the most beautiful of the whole island. A small white sand beach protected from the wind bathed by a transparent and almost surreal sea, ideal for a long and regenerating swim. Needless to say, it is not equipped, there is nothing at all, here nature is still as it was created at the beginning and we hope it will remain so. Getting to Faneromeni beach is possible through the daily excursions that leave from Paros, follow a dirt road from Soros to Sostis up to the small church adjacent to the beach. Here you are welcome in Eden!
