Milos Beaches

Milos is a small pearl of the Cyclades, but it has 80 beaches to choose from where you can spend a wonderful day at the beach. There is something for all tastes and being able to see them all is a truly titanic undertaking (unless you stop at least a month doing three a day).

The island of Venus, with a lunar landscape, one of a kind that gives emotions to every corner where you can get lost in the horizon so blue that it can’t be bluer, a magical island from which it will be very difficult for you to leave.

To help you make a sort of itinerary to make the most of your time here are the beaches we think are worth a visit. It’s a totally personal view but we’re sure you’ll agree with us in the end.

Plathiena Beach

Plathiena beach is located northwest of Milos about two kilometers from the capital Plaka. A coast of soft light sand, clear and crystalline waters, a blue sea with a gently sloping seabed, ideal for families with children and for those who like to swim. The environment that surrounds it is lush with vegetation and its position shelters it from the winds. Rock formations surround it and offer snorkelers excellent opportunities to explore the underwater world. Right in front of Plathiena beach in the middle of the Aegean there is a rock which, seen from a certain angle (coming from the sea), looks like a rabbit or a bear. From Plathiena beach you can admire one of the most beautiful sunsets of Milos with the sky taking on warm tones that change every day according to the light until the sun disappears into the sea as if by magic. It is partly equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas while most of the area is completely free so you can put your towel where you feel most inspired. As for catering, a small snack bar where you can find something quick to eat and fresh drinks. For a break from the sun, we advise you to visit the ports of Forkouvouni and Areti where you can also take the opportunity to stop in a tavern and savor a fish-based menu which is always very fresh. Reaching Plathiena beach is very easy, keeping Plaka as a reference point, follow the paved road in a northwesterly direction following the signs until you come across a semi-dirt road that will take you to the parking lot.

Firopotamos Beach

Firopotamos beach together with its homonymous village we find it in the north east of the Milos island a couple of kilometers from Plaka. It is stuck in a small and beautiful bay that shelters it from the wind so much that it looks like a natural swimming pool surrounded by steep cliffs and providential tamarisk trees during the hottest hours. Its beach is made of clear sand, an intense blue sea and transparent waters with a shallow water excellent for the little ones. The surrounding rock formations are full of underwater life making it a natural playground for snorkelers. It is equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas and a small bar (only in the summer season) for something to drink or eat. Being well known and loved by young people, during the summer it can get a little crowded but don’t give up, go early in the morning when everyone is still sleeping. For a break, a tour of the village which is located right on the promontory. The particularity of Firopotamos are the Syrmata, the characteristic houses once stored for boats with doors with bright colors which today have been transformed into summer residences for the inhabitants and some are also rented out to tourists. To get to Firopotamos beach just follow the paved road and the road signs. The road that will take you there has some fantastic views of the landscape.

Sarakiniko Beach

Sarakiniko beach is undoubtedly the queen of Milos, the most photographed and coveted place during a holiday in Greece in the Cyclades Islands. Anyway let’s start by saying that there is a great dispute about how to classify it. In reality, Sarakiniko beach is just a handkerchief of sand wedged between the rocks, the rest are long blinding white boulders of volcanic origin that make the landscape lunar and surreal. The sea is of an intense blue which, thanks to the contrast with the very clear rocks, intensifies even more, making the environment particular and almost hypnotic. The name of Sarakiniko derives from the pirates of Sarakin who according to legend used to hide their treasures and stopped with the ships to rest before going back to sea and plundering the nearby lands. Take a relaxing dip in the natural pool, a sort of blue lagoon that looks like a Mexican cenote or stop to sunbathe on the panoramic terraces overlooking the sea where you can also enjoy a fantastic panorama until you reach the wreck of a ship in the heart of the rocks wrecked in the past. Snorkelers will have fun till you drop at Sarakiniko beach so don’t forget to bring fins, mask, snorkel and an underwater camera. It goes without saying that there is no trace of comfort, just a tiny kiosk where you can find something quick to eat and drink, so bring everything you need if you want to dedicate an entire day to it. Don’t miss Sarakiniko beach on full moon nights, it has a fairy and extremely romantic charm with its starry sky and natural astro light. Reaching it is easy, follow the coastal road of Adamas to the north-east and that’s it!

Agia Kyriaki Beach

Agia Kyriaki beach (Holy Sunday  in Greek), is located in the south-eastern area of Milos less than ten kilometers from Adamas not far from Paleochori beach. Crescent-shaped, it is made up of a coast of gold-colored sand mixed with small white stones, clean and clear waters, a sea with iridescent and brilliant colors in shades of turquoise. On the sides of Agia Kyriaki beach rock formations perfect for snorkelers and delightful natural coves (to the west) where if you are lucky there could be only you, a favorite destination above all for naturists thanks to the privacy that these corners offer. A wild and uncontaminated environment but on the other hand all Milos is despite mass tourism especially in recent years, it still manages to preserve its nature. It is partly equipped (in the centre) with sunbeds and umbrellas with a beach bar serving food and drinks. If, on the other hand, you want a complete lunch, on the seafront there are several taverns and typical restaurants where you can sit and taste the local and traditional Greek specialties. Getting to Agia Kyriaki beach is easy, set your navigator for the village of Paleochori and then follow the signs for a dirt road that will lead you to your destination.

Tsigrado Beach

Tsigrado beach is one of the most difficult to reach and is located in the southeast part of Milos less than half an hour from the Adamas village. A tiny cove surrounded by high white cliffs that totally shelter it from the winds (during the hottest hours it’s really hard to resist) with a beach of soft golden sand with transparent, brilliant waters and a sea with emerald shades a real paradise . Obviously it is not equipped you will have to bring everything you need especially to shelter from the sun as being very small spaces only the luckiest and most early risers will be able to grab the few shaded areas. But let’s talk about how to reach it and here comes the fun part. Let’s start by saying that it is not at all suitable if you have small children or have mobility problems. First of all you will have to get to the parking lot, leave your vehicle here (it is necessary to be independent there are no other possibilities), go down the diagonal downwards from the cliff to the bottom by a passage dug between the rocks where there are two ropes to which hold on to stay safe until you meet a wooden ladder that will finally lead you to the beach. An undertaking we can say but which will give great satisfaction to the effort.

Firiplaka Beach

Firiplaka beach is just after Tsigrado beach so we always stay southwest of Milos. Much easier to reach, it has a long coast of silver sand, calm and clean waters, a sea with emerald and blue hues with a gently sloping seabed, perfect especially for families with small children. Behind it are high clear cliffs which, in contrast with the color of the sea and the beach, make it almost exotic and, very importantly, shelter it from the winds. A peculiarity of Firiplaka beach is the huge rock near the shore that seems to emerge from the sea as if by magic. In the first part of the beach you will find sunbeds, umbrellas and a beach bar for something to eat and for refreshing drinks, while beyond the boulder everything becomes completely free and it is the favorite area for naturism lovers. To reach it, follow the road signs from the comfortable and paved road. Certainly one of the most famous and crowded beaches of Milos during the summer season but definitely not to be missed.

Algomantra Beach or Agios Konstantinos Beach

Algomatra beach is located in the north-eastern area of Milos not far from the charming Pollonia village. Hidden in an inlet protected by high cliffs but not spared from the winds, it is a thin strip of white sand, extremely crystalline waters and an intense turquoise sea. A dutiful clarification, you will find these characteristics only when Aeolus is not in turmoil, on the contrary when it is particularly nervous the sea is agitated and in a bit murky, but just go back the next day and here is paradise on earth. We also specify that Algomantra beach is actually an independent section of Agios Konstantinos beach which is located just before. On the top right some sea caves to be discovered. Obviously it is not equipped also because the spaces are very small, it can accommodate up to ten people so get everything you need if you decide to spend an entire day there. So to find it you have to follow the road signs from Pollonia towards Agios Konstantinos and from there continue on foot.

Agios Sostis Beach

Agios Sosti beach is exactly before the famous and beautiful Provatas beach in the center of the island in the southern part just where Milos becomes narrowest. A perfect coastline for a quiet and peaceful day at the beach, protected by high cliffs that stop the winds, a beach of soft clear sand, a blue and turquoise sea with gently sloping seabed and extremely clean waters. A perfect place for families with children where the little ones can have fun and the grown-ups recharge with vitamin D. Snorkelers can spend a lot of time exploring the abyss as the area is rich in marine flora and fauna. Its name derives from the small church dedicated to the Saint right above the beach and can be reached for a visit and to admire the panorama through a feeling that starts from the sea. It is not equipped, bring an umbrella or something to protect you from the sun while to eat or drink something near the parking lot above a typical tavern where you can taste dishes based on fresh and traditional products. From here in winter, especially if the sky is clear, you can see Crete island. So let’s get to the information on how to find it. First of all it is necessary to have your own transport, there are no public transports that stop or pass in these parts as the road is very narrow and unpaved. Keep the bay of Provatas as a reference, reach the town of Kipos and just after you will find Agios Sostis. It should be underlined that the road is all natural so be very careful and go flat.

Paliochori Beach

Paliochori beach is located in a southeasterly direction more or less ten kilometers from Adamas. A unique and fascinating scenario thanks to its cliffs behind it with multiple colors that go from yellow to red and then turn green and finally white, a real miracle of Mother Nature that is worth going there just for a souvenir photo. Soft golden sand, crystal clear waters and an access blue sea that becomes almost turquoise, with shallow waters perfect for long swims and for families with small children. It is divided into three parts, one fully equipped and much loved by people who want comfort with sunbeds, umbrellas, water sports, beach bars and taverns where you can satisfy your appetite, a completely free and unequipped area, a favorite destination above all for naturists where they can feel free and away from prying eyes, the third precisely on the right just after the cliff which is also wild and free where you will find a cave that gives off heat thanks to the underground activity and the volcanic origins of Milos where you can enjoy a free beneficial sauna and a natural whirlpool what more could you ask for? To get to Paliochori beach, just follow Zefyra and the road signs if you are independent, otherwise from Adamas there are public buses that will take you to your destination.

Achivadolimni Beach

We find Achivadolimni beach thirteen kilometers south of the Adamas Gulf and its name derives from the lake in the western part of the beach which in Greek means “lake of clams” because it is full of this type of molluscs. Considered one of the largest of Milos (we are talking about a few kilometers), it has a coastline of fine white sand, transparent waters and a blue sea with excellent depths, especially to the west, which slope down slowly. It has a shape of half moon and carramba what a surprise, it is actually a crater of a remote extinct volcano. Behind it high cliffs where man has dug caves are thought to shelter boats during the winter. Despite the cliffs, the wind still disturbs and on days when it blows particularly strongly, it creates waves even one meter high, making it the favorite point for lovers of surfing, kitesurfing and obviously windsurfing. Part of it is equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas and beach bars to find food and drinks, while the rest basically the largest slice is completely free and you can easily find your little corner of Eden. Take advantage of the tamarisks that surround the beach for a moment of respite when the sun is particularly scorching. Snorkeling enthusiasts will enjoy heading west with the volcanic coral reef to be discovered. If you want a total free holiday, on the Achivadolimni beach, there is a beautiful campsite where you can stay in direct contact with Mother Nature. Reaching it is comfortable, either with a public bus that leaves from Adamas or if you are independent, take the road that leads to Kanava up to a crossroads from which you will have to go up and then down towards Achivadolimni.

Papafragas Beach

Papafragas beach is not far from the picturesque Pollonia village in the north east of the Milos Island. A wild and still uncontaminated place, both for the position and for the difficulty in reaching it. Hidden among the natural inlets that only the Milos island can offer, Papafragas beach is actually a small strip of fine white sand, a sea of iridescent colors that change according to the light, crystal clear and spotless waters. The space is very small, maximum twenty people so if you want to spend the day there, go either early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Consider a very important detail, consult the weather conditions before embarking on this adventure as despite being wedged between high cliffs, the wind does not spare it and when the sea blows it becomes dangerous due to the currents that could make you crash into the submerged rocks . In case of flat calm, on the other hand, it is a true paradise for swimming and for discovering the many deep caves sculpted by atmospheric events in the volcanic cliffs that have created three channels between natural arches. It is almost superfluous to remind you that the beach is not equipped, so bring everything you need. Not far from the ancient city of Phylakope.  Evaluated as one of the most relevant settlements of the Neolithic period of the Aegean. We then come to the most important point, how to reach it. For two channels there is a difficult path with a narrow staircase carved into the rock and in this regard equipped with suitable shoes do not go down in flip flops it is dangerous, the second option much more comfortable is by sea or with a rented boat or with a excursion organized by the many tourist agencies of the island. If you want to do it yourself you need to have your own vehicle, keeping Pollonia as a reference point, follow the road signs to the parking lot above where you will have to leave your vehicle and continue on foot.

Voudia Beach

Voudia beach is located near Pollonia northeast of Milos. Almost unknown and little frequented, it is in the middle of a beautiful bay and is made up of a large coastline of light sand mixed with stones, clear waters and a turquoise and dark blue sea with a depth that drops quickly so if you are not skilled swimmers be very careful. Behind it is surrounded by huge reddish volcanic boulders that make the environment suggestive and particular. Unfortunately, nearby there is a mining factory which, in addition to disfiguring the landscape, emits a strong smell of sulfur which is sometimes just unbearable. Apart from this obstacle, the Voudia beach offers some beautiful caves and also in this case, pay particular attention to the seas. It is not equipped, you will have to take care of bringing everything if you decide to spend a day there. Definitely perfect for an escape from tourism and for a moment of relaxation, but also just for a souvenir photo since the scenery is truly unusual. The best place to enjoy such beauty is from above where the eye hovers over the sea. To reach Voudia beach you must necessarily have a rental vehicle. As soon as you pass the Pollonia village, continue towards the quarry, leave the vehicle and then continue on foot through the path (it has many stones, wear suitable shoes) on the right and you will conquer the beach.

Mytakas Beach

Mytakas beach is in a northwesterly direction between the Sarakiniko, Miala and Pachena villages. An extensive beach divided in half by a large V-shaped boulder made of soft white sand, clear and transparent waters, an intense blue sea with shallow waters ideal for families with children and for those who are not perfect swimmers. The position makes it subject to the winds so consult the weather conditions beforehand so as not to make a wasted trip, in the case of calm instead it is perfect for a hot day at the beach. Rock formations surround the beach and are a great opportunity to snorkel so bring fins, mask and snorkel. The largest part has a few sunbeds and umbrellas while there is a small kiosk for a drink or something to eat, nothing pretentious. In the smallest section, however, everything is free, a few tamarisk trees to shelter from the sun but as always, being few, first come first served. The small village behind hosts the characteristic Syrmata with its colored doors where you can still breathe an ancient and typically Greek air. It is important to have a rental vehicle to reach Mytakas beach, just take a northerly direction on the main road exactly where the island takes on the shape of a crescent and rely on the signs.

Mandrakia Beach

Mandrakia beach together with its pretty and famous we can say village, is located in the northwest area of Milos not far from the Firopotamos village. In reality it is a very small strip of pebbles and stones near the port which is often not recognized because it blends into the surrounding landscape which in any case revolves around the village. On the other hand, the beauty of this place, in addition to the sea which is very clean and crystalline where a dip can be done very well, is precisely the urban context. Here are the colorful Syrmata, the ancient boat sheds with each one a differently colored door to be better identified by the owners returning from fishing trips. There is little to do or see if not stopping to eat in the tavern almost with your feet in the water where you can taste excellent fresh fish perhaps accompanied by a fresh tsipouro, the best for our tastes. A place still frozen in time where everything is relative and flows at its natural pace, where you can relax and think about nothing. If you really want to lie down in the sun, you should head towards the Tourkothalassa beach hidden among the jagged rocks of Mandrakia where a small coast of sand mixed with pebbles but with an electric blue sea awaits you immersed in a still unspoiled and tremendously wild nature.

Gerontas Beach

Gerontas beach is one of the least crowded beaches in Milos. We find it to the southwest near the still active mining enterprise where the pozzolana is extracted, a material mainly used in construction. Secret and hidden in a picturesque bay it is a small stretch of sand mixed with silver and gray pebbles, a blue and green sea and transparent waters. Behind it are imposing white rock formations where on the right side a spectacular arch shaped by the wind and salt stands out, while on the left there are mysterious caves and inlets to be discovered, perfect for snorkelers. Falling into the category of the most remote of Milos and not easy to reach, it is not equipped at all so remember to bring everything you need including something to shelter from the sun because the providential cliffs only give shade in the morning and in specific positions. Gerontas beach must be conquered, first of all you must have your own transport to reach Provatas where you will meet a dirt road that leads to the quarry up to its parking lot. You will have to leave your vehicle there and continue on foot following a slightly sloping path (put on suitable shoes) up to the promontory above the beach where, among other things, you can admire a breathtaking panorama. Finally continue down and you will have arrived. On average it takes less than half an hour.

Provatas Beach

Provatas beach is located southwest of the Milos island less than ten kilometers from the Adamas village. Formed by three pretty bays separated from each other by colored rocks, it is made up of soft golden sand bathed by clear waters and a blue sea. The backdrops are perfect for families with children as they slope very gently. Thanks to its favorable position, it is almost always protected from the wind and therefore ideal for spending a peaceful day at the sea. It is equipped with umbrellas, sunbeds and a few taverns where you can find something good and tasty to eat as well as refreshing drinks. If you want to choose the Provatas area as your base for your holiday in Milos, you will have the opportunity to find some accommodation facilities that offer accommodation. It can be reached with your own vehicle following the road signs keeping Provatas as a reference point or from Adamas there are public buses that arrive directly.

Fatourena Beach

We can say that Fatourena beach is one of the less traveled and crowded beaches of Milos. It is located northwest two kilometers from the Embourios village last settlement in this part of Milos where you can find delicious taverns serving fresh fish. Fatourena together with Rivari beach are two beautiful nature reserves where migratory birds are stationed as well as a favorite destination for naturists who can experience the wonderful nature in all senses. A sandy coast excuse given its volcanic origins with a few pebbles, clean waters and a turquoise blue sea up to dark blue due to the depth of the seabed. Around only Mediterranean scrub and some rock formations where you can snorkel and even diving in the most depressed points. Its position always shelters it from the winds. It is not organized at all, an oasis still intact and original so remember to bring food, drinks and something to shelter you from the sun. There are no public rides to get there by force you will need to have your own vehicle. Direction Embourios and then follow the road signs. Stop at the ancient church of Agia Marina above the promontory, the view is super!

Agios Ioannis Beach

Agios Ioannis beach is southwest in the area of Xilokeratia set in a wonderful bay. Adamas is about twenty kilometers away. It is made up of three coves that follow each other all with beaches of fine dark sand (always remember that Milos has volcanic origins and consequently the colors are basically these), clear waters and an emerald green sea. All around high white cliffs that rise sheer above the sea and shelter it from the winds, as well as hills dotted with low shrubs of Mediterranean scrub, a respectable natural setting. Of the three coasts, the largest to the north is the only one that is not so easily reachable by land, however, for the other two either by sea or by a path that climbs up narrow passages so you need to be an expert. The difficulty in getting there has meant that the beach of Agios Ioannis has still remained intact and preserved by man, you can come here only if you really want it, if you love solitude and only the sounds of the sea. If you decide to venture into this corner of paradise, remember to bring everything with you as there is no trace of civilization. From here you can enjoy a stunning sunset, then add the natural context and the result will be a fantastic experience. Also take advantage of going to visit the Monastery of Agios Ioannis Siderianos on the hill of the bay. To explore Agios Ioannis beach you must necessarily have a vehicle for rent, even better a 4×4 and there are three solutions. The first from Embourios where before the village you have to follow the road signs, the second from the coastal road from Provatas and be careful both options are dirt roads, finally by sea or with a private boat or with one of the excursions organized by the island’s agencies .

Ammoudaraki Beach

Ammoudaraki beach is near Triades beach southwest of Milos island in Chalaka area in Ormos Triades bay which is divided into four. The first two and the fourth beach are made of dark sand, a pale blue sea with shallow waters, while the third is made of stones. Around cliffs and low rock formations with the typical Mediterranean scrub as well as a favorite area for snorkelers. Ammoudaraki beach is wild and intact as it is remote and not very popular with tourists, therefore completely unequipped and in this regard the usual advice is always to bring everything you need for a day at the beach. A must for those who want to get away from the holiday frenzy and remain alone. Reaching it is possible either by sea or by land. By sea but only with private rental there are no organized excursions, by land by a dirt road passing through Embourios paying close attention to the signs, if you turn right at the crossroads you will go to the first and second beach, if you turn left at third and fourth.

Kastanas Beach

Kastanas beach is a picture painted by God! Among the most particular and wild of the Milos island in a north-easterly direction more or less seven kilometers from the Pollonia village. A hidden coast and not for everyone, mainly of coarse sand mixed with stones, rocks everywhere and natural arches in orange, red and purple colors (always by virtue of its volcanic origins), clear and clean waters, an emerald sea with difficult as they are stony and made of sharp stone slabs, which is why shoes are a must. Perfect for snorkelers thanks to its lively marine flora and fauna where you can meet strange little animals so equip yourself with fins, a mask and a snorkel. Special attention to hedgehogs, it is full and they hide everywhere. Kastanas beach is also a favorite destination for naturist lovers as very few dare to go as far as this type of nature. It is not equipped and has no vegetation, so bring everything from water, food to something to shelter you from the sun if you are not lizards inside. It will be necessary to have a rental vehicle, better a quad or a 4×4 since the road is unpaved and we strongly advise you to get help from the navigator so as not to get lost. A true corner of paradise to be enjoyed, perhaps if you are lucky even on your own.

Triades Beach

Triades beach is also one of the pristine and hard to reach pearls of Milos. We find it to the north east which welcomes all the wildest wonders of the island. A still original nature that is divided into three beaches divided by white cliffs. The largest and most popular one if we can say so (in reality there are always few people) is the first one meets and like the other two smaller sisters it is made up of fine sand with golden shades, transparent waters and a deep blue sea but with very deep seabed therefore not recommended for families with children. All are free, there is no trace of comfort, just nature and the sound of the sea, so be careful to bring everything you need for a peaceful day at the beach. Her position does not make her safe from the wind, on the contrary when Eolo wakes up on the wrong foot, dangerous high waves are created if you are not skilled swimmers. Triades beach is part of the reserve of vipers, therefore, dress appropriately and pay attention to snakes. This beach is the ideal place for a night under the stars as long as the weather conditions permit, pitch your tent and spend a romantic evening under a wonderful starry sky in the company of the sound of the waves. It will be essential to move with a 4×4 or a quad as the road is not paved. Navigator on Embourios always keeping to the right until you get above the beach and then walk down to the first cove.

Sikia Beach

Sikia is not exactly classified as a beach but it remains a place not to be missed among the things to see in Milos. The Cave here is the most suitable adjective, it is located in the west of the island and its name which in Greek means “fig” takes it from the fruit tree that hangs right over the opening of the cave on one side. It is also called Emerald Cave or Blue Cave due to the particular color of the sea which changes from green to sapphire. From the round shape five meters high and twenty wide, it has no ceiling (in reality it existed in the past but due to some event that has not yet been discovered to which category it belonged), thus giving it the appearance of a secret casket where inside find this tiny stone beach with waters for which it is difficult to find an adjective for how beautiful they are in a bit cold since the sun almost never manages to penetrate. The rocky seabed and the whole context is a joy for snorkelers. Given the massive presence of stones, it would be better if you wore a pair of rock shoes. The most beautiful moment to visit the Sikia Cave is the sunset when the light that takes on extraordinary reflections makes everything enchanted and magical. You will have understood by yourself that you can only get here by sea or with a rented boat or with an organized excursion.

Lagada Beach and Papakinou Beach

Lagada beach is located a short walk northeast of Adamas village. Convenient if you have small children or simply if you don’t feel like going to discover the wonders of the island for one day. It is a large sandy coast with clean waters and a shallow seabed that is excellent for children, surrounded by small rocks where you can meet some small marine inhabitants. It is not equipped but the tamarisks that frame it can be a valid alternative for shelter during the hottest hours if you don’t have your own umbrella. Behind the beach of Lagada, restaurants, typical taverns and bars where you can find something to drink and eat. Papakinou beach, on the other hand, is just after. Same characteristics, soft sand, calm waters, a blue sea and shallow water with the addition however that it is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas so if you are in the comfortable category, it is certainly the most suitable place. To get to these two beaches, just reach Adamas and then go along the seafront.

Psathi Beach

Psathi beach is southwest of Milos Island between Kipos beach and Gerontas beach. It is perfect for canoe lovers and for those who love snorkelling due to its rocky seabed and interesting caves to be explored. The coast is made of pebbles and large boulders that are not exactly comfortable for a day at the beach or even for swimming, however it is very popular with those who want a different day based more on discovery than relaxation.

Kipos Beach

Kipos beach is located in the southwest part of the Milos island. A strip of pebbles and large stones, clean waters, an emerald sea and stony bottoms that descend rapidly, all protected by high hills dotted with Mediterranean scrub. Definitely not suitable for families with children, but perfect for a day of total relaxation. Kipos beach is very secluded and still as wild as its origins. It is not equipped, the only sign of civilization is above the promontory where there is a traditional tavern for eating and drinking something as well as admiring the wonderful panorama. There’s not much to say about Kipos beach, just that for an unusual day and where you want to leave any kind of noise or frenzy, it’s definitely the right place.

Psaravolada Beach

Psaravolada beach is located in the southeast area of Milos. Practically we can almost say that it is the natural extension of Agia Kyriaki beach which is actually just seven hundred meters away. A very small sandy beach surrounded on the sides by high white cliffs that shelter it from the wind and, as usual, transparent waters and a fabulous sea. Beautiful, intimate and secret, it does not have any kind of comfort but that is the beauty of it, direct contact with nature, silence and absolute tranquility, a privilege especially during the summer when Milos is invaded by tourists.
