The To Enetiko tavern is located directly on the Avithos beach in the southwest part of the Kefalonia island, not far from the Svoronata village.

Opened in 1998, it is family run where at the beginning it was the mother who took care of the kitchen, then passing the baton to her son Dimitris Pefanis who together with his wife, children and brothers in law continue the tradition. The grandfather and the grandmother always present to give pearls of wisdom and advice in order to make the environment always with a relaxed and homely atmosphere. In the brigade there is also a chef external to the family but who is now part of it.

Part of the raw materials used to make delicious delicacies, are produced directly by them such as olive oil, vegetables, potatoes and wine, while meat and fish are supplied by local producers who follow the ancient customs of the Kefalonia island.

The best dishes offered by To Enetiko are certainly Kefalonia meatballs prepared with vegetables, fish or meat and rabbit with garlic. Obviously there is no shortage of fish dishes ranging from frying to the fisherman’s dish to sardines and based on daily catch as everything is always and strictly fresh what the sea has offered during the night. Typical recipes of Greek cuisine are not lacking such as sauces and mezedes (appetizers in Greek) which follow seasonality.

The value for money is excellent and it is possible to pay by credit card. To Eteniko is open from late April until mid October from ten in the morning until late in the evening. During the summer it is more convenient to make a phone call and reserve the table as it is very popular with tourists and locals.

Why eat at To Eteniko? Because first of all it has a spectacular view, you will be right on the sea on the beautiful  Avithos beach one of the favorite beaches for turtles to nest, because the food is sublime, a wide choice of fish, meat and vegetables in short for any taste, for kindness of all the staff who promptly do their utmost to make you feel at home and to satisfy your every need, for the price which is very convenient and never exaggerated.
