Tsigrado Beach is certainly one of the most remote and difficult to reach beaches but believe, all the effort will be amply rewarded for what your eyes will find. It is located in the southeast part of Milos island about twelve kilometers from Adamas.

It is a small inlet of soft golden sand bathed by a more crystalline emerald sea, surrounded by high cliffs and small caves ideal for snorkelers. Given its position it is very sheltered from the winds, in fact it does not draw a breath of air and on hot summer days I challenge you to stay all day. The shaded areas are very limited and of course it is not equipped. The sun drops much earlier than the other beaches given the location, so our advice is to visit it in the morning.

As I said before, reaching it is really demanding and is not recommended for families with children because from the parking lot above which offers a breathtaking view (in fact most people come up to here where you can see very well and the beach, and it is also an excellent point to immortal a beautiful photograph as a souvenir), you have to go down through the cliff through a passage dug in the rock where two ropes will help you keep and not slip given the very friable soil, until you get to the end where it will seem there is nothing to continue but, which actually hides a large wooden staircase that will finally make you land on the beach.

Bring everything you need because you are truly isolated from everything so water, food, sunscreen and a hat must not be missing. Do not forget also that the path to reach Tsigrado beach is rough so no flip flops but good sneakers and a backpack where you can store everything and have your hands as free as possible.

Of course, from the description it seems almost a titanic undertaking, but if you are adventurous but still conscientious and responsible it will surely be one of your best memories of Milos island.
