Zakynthos or Zakynthos, the homeland of Ugo Foscolo to whom he dedicated a beautiful poem that expresses the love for this magnificent island with many facets that offers visitors postcard landscapes and a sea of crazy colors.
Zakynthos is the island of epic legends and the natural environment still almost intact as at its origin where the Caretta-Caretta turtles come every year to continue their species considered almost endangered over time.
A territory of wonderful sandy beaches, mountain villages as if straight out of a Brothers Grimm fairytale where tradition is still deeply rooted and even the younger generations want to preserve at all costs. The island where the goddess Artemis was born, goddess of hunting who so loved wandering through the green forests that Zakynthos is able to give and the most photographed and known beach in the world, the Beach of the Wreck.
And yet one of the first Greek Islands to have a Marine National Park that extends from the bay of Laganas to the south together with the two Strofadi islands which collects different habitats with a delicate environment and which preserves fish and fauna species of all points and that our planet absolutely must not miss.
There is never enough time to visit Zakynthos, but we want to help you plan at least the most interesting things to see during your holiday in Greece.
