We find Mykali beach in thesouth-eastern part of the green Samos island about ten kilometersfrom the lively tourist resort and capital Vathy. Nearby thepicturesque village of Psili Ammos with its equally beautiful beach.

A coastline three kilometerslong but on the other hand quite narrow, a sort of vast tongue ofbeach made up of small flat stones and in some places also of softsand, bathed by clear, crystalline and always very calm waters thanksto its position in a stupendous bay, a sea that goes from turquoiseto blue from the depths that go down quite quickly and that near theshore are pebbles and then become sandy going out to sea, so if youhave small children have an extra eye.

Given its extension, the Mykali beach is able to satisfy any type of need, especially in thecenter there are areas equipped with comfortable sunbeds andumbrellas, beach bars, taverns where you can taste the deliciousdelicacies of Greek and territorial cuisine, some hotels and forwater sports such as windsurfing, canoes or fun jet skis, activitiesto do together with the family or with old or new friends.

For those who prefer only thesound of the sea, spending a day in complete relaxation and being onewith Mother Nature, will have no problem finding their own littlecorner of paradise, the only precaution is to bring everything youneed especially to shelter during the hotter hours because of littlenatural shade. The most suitable areas for isolation are towards thewest.

Although Mykali beach is wellknown by visitors, it still remains untouched and almost intact butabove all it will be very difficult to find yourself on top of eachother thanks to its large space.

Also take into accountanother peculiarity of this beach, its waters are quite cold as thereare currents that pass through the strait that separates Samos fromthe minor Asian coast (Turkey) which is just one kilometer and twohundred meters away and will almost seem be able to touch it. Theview from Mykali beach on Asia Minor is enchanting and the landscapefull of vegetation that surrounds it, give a heavenly atmosphere tosay the least.
