Mola Kalyva Beach, we find it in Kassandra the first phalanx of the wonderful Chalkidiki Peninsula on the west side to the south. The lively flashing town of Possidi just a few kilometers to the east.
A perfect place for lovers of tranquility and nature, it has a long coastline made of small pebbles, flat stones and some stretches of sand, a sea that varies from light blue to turquoise to cobalt blue, transparent and very clean waters so much so that every year it is awarded the much desired Blue Flag. The seabed descends very gently therefore ideal for families with children and swimming lovers. You can find in certain points of the sandbags positioned on the beach to make it easier to reach the beautiful sandy shoal just after the shore.
All around a small paradise on earth with trees that almost touch the water making the environment unique and with the possibility of sheltering from the hot sun rays. The beach is partly equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, beach bars, taverns where, admiring the majestic Aegean, you can savor delicacies of Greek and Macedonian cuisine. To be noted for a moment of relaxation the Kudu Bar, one of the historic places in the area, opened since 1994 is an oasis of greenery with a particular atmosphere where everything is taken care of in detail and with a constant background music that is never annoying, on the contrary relaxing and pleasant during the day. In the evening, however, it turns into a nice club where you can stay up late between chatting and a cocktail. Stop also at White Season, also a beach bar where a fairy forest behind the counter gives a particular scent to the environment. Here your children can have fun in safety in the large lawn with some games, while the more sporty can try their hand at a game of beach tennis. Perhaps the only negative note are the rocks and stones that are found on the seabed but this does not detract from the beauty of the place.
Behind the beach or rather the beaches in Mola Kalyva the choice is yours, the small village, a lovely pearl of the Chalkidiki Peninsula. Its name comes from the proper name of the guardian Molas who once took care of the safety of the monks while Kalyva means hut and when people had to indicate the place they called it Mola’s Kalyva and it has never been changed again. The village has everything you need for a peaceful holiday in Greece without giving up the main comforts. You will find a good choice of accommodation facilities such as apartments rather than hotels, night clubs, bars, shops of all kinds, some small supermarkets and nice taverns or small restaurants where you can let yourself be carried away by the indigenous flavors.
From Mola Kalya you can also visit the prehistoric settlement of Mendi which owes its name to a particular aromatic peppermint plant that grew and still grows in the area as well as for the export of the famous Mendaios wine in the sixth century. About twenty kilometers south of Mola Kalyva are the thermal baths of Agia Paraskevi. In a picturesque mountain village in the forest where there is a modern spa with swimming pools, whirlpools all generously offered by Mother Nature. Finally, it is worth making a trip to the fishing village of Nea Skioni, about seven kilometers away, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner based on fresh fish and seafood.
As easy as drinking a glass of water. Direction Kassandra Peninsula, west side southbound following the main road and signs.
A quiet corner where you can spend a pleasant day at the beach surrounded by a pleasant and fresh pine forest to be explored on foot and for this alone deserves to be included among the things to see in the Kassandra Peninsula.
