The Marchello beach also called Marchelo, Martelo or Martselo (do as you prefer) is located in the northern part on the western side of the Paros Island about three kilometers from the lively seaside Parikia village the capital in the heart of its gulf that offers all the possible comforts.

Considering the continuation of the Kryos Beach, it has a long and narrow coastline of soft white sand with clear and transparent waters, a blue sea with turquoise flashes and a very gently sloping seabed ideal for families with children and for those who love to indulge themselves long and regenerating swims.

It is partly equipped with sunbeds, beach umbrellas, a beach bar, a restaurant where you can find something to drink and eat and a beach volleyball court where you can challenge old and new friends. In this part of the beach, parties with music are also organized. A section of the beach, on the other hand, is completely free and wild so you can decide to throw your towel wherever you like and enjoy a beautiful day at the beach. For the do-it-yourself, zero shade there are no providential tamarisk trees during the hottest hours, you must either bring a parasol or have a hat and lots of sunscreen. If you want peace and tranquility, it is better to opt for the part not served where for sure you will hear nothing but the sound of the sea and maybe some children playing.

Given its position, the Marchello beach always has very calm waters as it is sheltered from the north wind that usually blows on the Cyclades Islands and which can be really annoying. During the high season it is always very crowded especially by young people as the capital is very close and is considered one of the most active places regarding nightlife, and also for the excellent comfort services offered.

Martselo beach also offers for lovers of privacy and naturism a series of rocky coves of delightful hidden coves right behind the Krios beach, where you can enjoy hours of relaxation in complete freedom and freely live your choice of staying in close contact with Mother Nature

In the Parikia bay just behind the shore of Marchello beach, there is one of the well-equipped campsites in Paros with all the comforts for those who want a holiday in Greece without any kind of constraint but without giving up modern comforts.

You will have more possibilities. The first is the easiest; with a car or scooter rental vehicle it makes no difference to get around Paros both are fine, wherever you have decided to stay the direction is Parikia and from here follow the road signs up to a large free parking lot.

By sea, it can be a good alternative to fully experience the Aegean. From the port of the capital, daily gulet excursions are organized that will take you directly to the shore.

For the more sporty, however, the walk remains. Always starting from Parikia, it takes about thirty-five minutes on foot from the port.

A beach to be marked among the things to do in Paros at least for a day, perhaps combining it with a visit to the capital Parikia and why not indulge in a crazy evening until late at night.
