And here we are at Kypri beach, one of the most popular on the Andros Island. We find it in the north-west part between the Gavrio village and the Batsi village, the two most lively places about five kilometers away from both countries.
A long coastline of soft golden sand, bathed by crystalline and clear waters, with a sea whose colors go from turquoise to blue, always calm thanks to the favorable position of the bay which is well protected from the winds, from the seabed that I descend slowly perfect for families with small children where adults can relax under the umbrella with a colorful cocktail in hand, while the little ones can have fun in complete safety.
It is very well organized with sun beds and umbrellas, three beach bars that offer a complete catering service with refreshing drinks, light and quick lunches rather than real fresh fish meals and classic Greek and local cuisine. There is also the opportunity to try your hand at some water sports, perhaps leaning on the WeSurfin beach bar which also organizes windsurfing courses. It is also possible to do canoeing and beautiful horseback riding. For DIY lovers, a part of the beach is completely free so ‘you can put yourself where most’ you feel inspired, but remember that zero shade so bring something to shelter from the sun unless you have decided to take all the rays sunscreen for an “atomic tan”.
The bay where Kypri beach is located is ideal not only for lovers of long swims, but also for those who prefer snorkeling or diving, so don’t forget your fins and mask.
The most beautiful moment, at sunset, perhaps taking a long walk on the bathroom, dries with his gaze turned towards the sea and admire the wonderful picture that Mother Nature gives us every day.
The whole area has developed in such a way as to be able to offer all the comforts to its visitors and if by chance you want a holiday right “by the sea”, in Kypri it is possible to find some accommodation facilities such as apartments or hotels.
It should be noted that just before Kyrpi beach there is the beautiful Golden Sand beach also called Chrysi Ammos or Psili ammos for its extraordinary fine sand that extends up to Kypri.
Again it is very easy. Wherever you are staying, the direction is northwest on the main asphalted and comfortable road, then following the road signs for Gavrio or Batsi. From Gavrio you have to go south, from Batsi you have to go north.
It would be better to have a rental vehicle so as not to be bound by timetables, but for those who do not want to drive even on vacation, there are public services with buses that departing from the main tourist resorts go to Kypri beach.
Absolutely to be included in the list of things to see in Andros, it will be a beautiful day of sunshine, fun and tranquility to relax and enjoy so much generosity from our mother earth.
