The Klimataria beach, we find it in the southern part on the east side of the second phalanx of the Chalkidiki Peninsula, the multifaceted Sithonia highly sought after destination for those who decide to spend their holiday in Greece in this Hellenic part still quite unknown to Italian tourism but very much appreciated instead from the rest of Europe especially from the Nordic countries as well as from many Greeks.
It is located about fifteen kilometers from Sarti, a charming coastal town very popular during the summer season that offers various accommodation solutions such as rooms for rent and small hotels and which is very popular because it manages to combine sea and mountains. The main amenities are not lacking, typical taverns, cafes and shops will satisfy every need. In Greek mythology, Sarti was the place created by the Gods and Giants as a sort of paradise where intrigues and passions have marked its history and its legends.
The Klimataria beach has a small coastline, we are talking about a hundred and fifty meters of fine sand with clean and transparent waters, a sea that changes from blue to turquoise and with a gently sloping seabed making them perfect for families with children, for swimming lovers and snorkelers so don’t forget to bring snorkel, mask, fins and maybe even an underwater camera. During the summer it is quite crowded and given its size if you want to spend a day there we recommend that you arrive early in the morning. It is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas, while as regards the restaurant you will have to choose between typical taverns where you can eat fresh fish and seafood as well as traditional Greek cuisine, international restaurants, beach bars and shops. For DIY lovers, a part is completely free and you can put your towel where you will find a place and where you will feel most inspired.
The whole bay offers visitors other beaches that are truly rare pearls. Given their position, they are always sheltered from the winds with a sea that is always calm and ideal for a relaxing day at the beach. You can choose whether to stop at the small Linaraki beach or at Pigadaki beach, or continuing for about a kilometer to arrive at Tourkolimnionas beach which eventually becomes Klimataria beach. The road that leads to these coasts is one of the most scenic and exciting because it is above the beaches offering a unique view of the sea where you can stop and immortalize so much beauty in a photo.
Although it is not exactly in the best position to admire the sunset, Klimataria beach still offers unforgettable moments when the sun goes down, coloring the whole landscape with warm tones.
Keep Sykia as a reference point, once you arrive, turn left to the homonymous beach. Just before reaching it, the road goes uphill on the pavement and becomes narrow follow it, you will pass in front of other beaches until you reach an abandoned overpass where you will have to turn left and follow the signs for Klimataria. Once you arrive you can leave your vehicle in a convenient parking.
It goes without saying that to achieve it you need to be independent as there are no public services.
A nice parenthesis during your holiday in Greece, all to be discovered and therefore to be included in the list of things to see in the Halkidiki Peninsula.
