Kira Panagia beach is located on the east side about half of the Karpathos island fifteen kilometers from the Pigadia town, exactly near the Achata village.

With a semi-circular shape, it is a fascinating cove, still wild where oleanders and bougainvillea give a touch of color, where the high white cliffs seem almost an embrace and where rock formations hide cavities to be explored. Here this is the Kira Panagia beach.

The beach is made of small gray pebbles bathed by a sea of multiple shades ranging from turquoise to emerald. Given its position, it is always sheltered from the winds. The seabed rich in fish is the joy for snorkelers.

This small Eden will surely be part of the collection of photographs of every tourist as in addition to the beautiful beach, the church with its red dome has now become a recognition of the Karpathos island. You can visit it by going up a staircase that is located at the bottom of the beach on the right side and from the top enjoy a breathtaking view.

The coast is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas and two excellent taverns with a terrace overlooking the sea where you can enjoy a good meal based on fresh fish. There is also a minimarket.

It’s easy, by land with your own vehicle, calmly following the directions you will arrive directly at the beach car park.

Kira Panagia beach is much loved by the Greeks who storm it on Saturdays and Sundays with the whole family to spend a day off, so be careful these days, if you arrive late you risk not finding a place or even a niche secluded.
