An idyllic place at one hundred and twenty metersabove sea level that manages to offer breathtaking panoramic views of the Ionian Sea and the hills full of olive trees and maritime pines.There are some taverns where it is really worth stopping for trulygenuine and rural food. Also worth visiting are two ancientmonasteries, the Monastery of Xirokasteliotissa and the Monastery of the Holy Trinity which is located in the middle of a fairy forest called Loggos Tou Agiou.

From the beach of PortoKaminia you can also reach other beaches with a particular charm suchas Porto Zoro with its golden sand, a transparent sea and particularrock formations that magically emerge from the sea, Banana beach thelargest on the Vasilikos Peninsula with its elongated shape and amongthe most popular on the Zante island for its excellent services,to go to the beach of Porto Roma, a small beach with a very clean seabut with colder waters than in other areas, to get to the beaches ofVasilikos and the wonderful Gerakas beach with its long strip ofsand that ends with a small promontory, area protected by the Marine Park as the species of Caretta-Caretta turtles come to nest so as tobe forbidden to the public during the hatching period from half anhour before sunset to half an hour after sunrise,

It is always better to have arental car or scooter so as to be free to change destinations duringthe day.

If you are not independent,there are public bus rides but pay close attention to the routes andtimes that can change according to the seasons.
