Diakoftis beach is located in the southernmost part of the Karpathos island on the east side near the Pigadia airport. Thanks to its luxuriant and low vegetation, with a golden and white shoreline, an intense emerald sea will make you think more of an exotic landscape than a Greek landscape, a real natural swimming pool.

In truth, the beaches are two divided by a low promontory and has a gently sloping seabed, therefore suitable for families with children where the little ones can have fun and the adults relax in peace. It is very suitable for lovers of long swims.

Although it is well known and, according to many, one of the most beautiful in Karpathos, the atmosphere is always very quiet and no less important, never chaotic, probably due to the fact that it is a very wide beach.

It is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas that cost around € 10 a day, with a snack bar for a fresh refreshing drink or for a quick and light snack. On the road leading to the bay, a classic tavern where you can taste traditional cuisine based on fresh and local products.

Its position exposes it to the winds, but on calm days it is the perfect place to spend a day, caressed by the sea breeze which especially in the summer months is a real godsend.

Diakoftis beach is also ideal for lovers of walks on the shore and for snorkeling enthusiasts as the seabed is teeming with fauna and it will be fun to meet the inhabitants of the sea.

The left part of the beach is the favorite place for lovers of Naturists.

Is very simple, you have to follow the signs to the airport. If you are staying in the east of the island, instead, you will have to turn right just before the airport and immediately left following the signs.

Like almost all the beaches on the Karpathos island, Diakofti beach is also worth a visit.
