Diafani beach you find it in the north east part of the Karpathos island. Diafani is a small village and the only port from which excursions to the island of Saria depart.

The large coast of the bay is made of small gray pebbles with a crystal clear sea (diafani in Greek means transparent). It is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas and with all the possible comforts from cafes, to typical taverns that offer local dishes based on fresh fish, to mini markets, in short, everything that can be used for a day at the beach.

Diafani Beach, is located in a strategic point to explore the  Karpathos island, in fact not far we find the famous and super visited of Olympos village (it has a few hundred inhabitants in summer and maybe fifty in winter) which until a few decades ago it was completely independent from the rest of the island with self-produced agricultural resources and with relations only with the nearby of Avlona and Diafani villages.

The area of Diafani is also very popular for trekking lovers where you can find beautiful routes to discover areas that are not really touristy but certainly no less fascinating and rich in history (look for the routes in our blog on the island of Karpathos).

Is very simple, from any direction follow the main asphalted road and follow the signs.
