Amoopi beach is located in the southeast part of the beautiful Karpathos Island.

It is divided into two parts, on the right side we find a smaller beach called Mikri Amoopi (in Greek it means small) characterized by a coarse sandy coast with a clear, crystalline sea and rocks, an ideal area for snorkelling lovers to the multitude of small fish that populate the waters, on the left side instead we find Megalo Amoopi (Megalo in Greek means large), a long beach of fine white sand a real paradise. The bottom of the beach gently descends, in fact, is much loved and sought after by families with children. For lovers of total relaxation, however, to the north of the bay there is a delightful Pouliou Potami cove with small pebbles, rocks and caves, not equipped of course, where you can definitely relax as it is not “comfortable” like the other two sandy beaches.

Given the position, it is sheltered from the winds, therefore the best if you want to spend a quiet day and dedicate yourself to long swims and sunbathing. Being very popular in the summer months, it is quite crowded, so the rule is always on who gets the better first. Also very beautiful is the walk on the shore that will take you to hidden and deserted coves.

Amoopi beach is well equipped with sun beds and umbrellas, bars and taverns for a cold drink or for a lunch based on fresh products of the Greek or international tradition.

Is very easy, take the asphalt road in the direction of Amoopi and along the entire beautiful panoramic coast you will arrive at your destination. The capital is about seven kilometers from Pigadia.

A day in this beautiful bay with fine sand and with a brightly colored sea is a must.
