What to do and see on Samos

2 minutes to read

Samos island is located in the Dodecanese Archipelago, the part of Greece closest to Turkey and the Asian continent. Just think that the distance is only one kilometer and two hundred meters of sea in the Mykali Strait.

Very large and extensive, we are talking about over five hundred square kilometres, Samos is full of mountains that rise up to 1440 meters where the fortunately dormant volcano is found, fertile valleys of vineyards and olive groves in fact the famous Moscato wine is produced right here, fairy forests of oaks and eculiptuses, sandy beaches and coves, scenic waterfalls that give the area an almost exotic scent that mixes with Mediterranean flavors, creating a varied environment and for any taste.

Samos gave birth to the Goddess Hera wife of the great Zeus who represents the marriage bond and procreation. Do not forget that even the great Pythagoras was born on this island blessed by Nature.

In recent years it is gaining ground and more and more tourists go as far as Samos, it is certain that it remains a stop for connoisseurs and for those who really want it considering that there are very few flights.
