However, behind the beach there is the homonymous village which offers other taverns and a few cafeterias as well as a few accommodations in case you want this part of the island as a base. Getting there is simple, you must necessarily have your own vehicle, better than the car given the size of Samos, follow the main road and head towards the Nissi Peninsula.

Klima Beach

Klima beach is located in the southwest area of Samos twenty kilometers from Marathokampos. A beach of three hundred meters inside a beautiful inlet that manages to protect it from the winds that usually blow on the Greek Islands. It is made of small white and colored pebbles, clear waters and a turquoise sea that descends slowly, ideal for the little ones even if the shore has pebbles. It is also equipped with a few sunbeds and umbrellas which are mainly behind the accommodation but don't worry, there are plenty of free spaces and you can hang your towel where you feel most inspired. Just behind typical taverns where you can taste traditional dishes or for a quick snack. Remember a few things when you are on Klima beach, the first is that the ripples are quite long so avoid going right to the shore because you would risk finding your belongings in the sea, the second if you have problems walking on stones, it would be better to have some rock shoes, third go there early in the morning when it is still deserted, you will feel like you are in paradise only with the sounds of nature. To reach Klima beach, take the detour to Paleokastro and follow the signs.

Kerveli Beach

Kerveli beach is mentioned as one of the most beautiful on Samos and is located southwest about ten kilometers from the town of Vathy. Enclosed in a small cove where, among other things, there is also its little village, it stands out for its luxuriant nature with hills dotted with trees. A reduced coastline made of white gravel and shining pebbles, transparent and emerald waters with shallow waters, a natural playground for families with children. Snorleking enthusiasts will be able to discover the rich and lively seabed full of colorful inhabitants. It is equipped with limited sunbeds and umbrellas also given its size with a small kiosk for drinks and food. If your stomach, on the other hand, demands something more substantial, some taverns in the village offer traditional Greek delicacies. For those who prefer do-it-yourself instead, a part of the Kerveli beach is free so you can put yourself wherever you like but above all where you will find space and don't worry about the shade, the trees accompany the perimeter. Given its position, it is sheltered from the winds and offers days of complete relaxation. From here you can witness the most beautiful sunrise of Samos. Getting there is simple, head southeast from the main road following the road signs.

Psili Ammos Beach

Psili Ammos beach is among the most popular on Samos and is located twelve kilometers southeast of the capital Vathy and very close to the Turkish coast. So know that there are two beaches that are called that, the other is located near the Marathokampos village. We still want to tell you about this north. Soft light sand, a sea in shades of turquoise with a gently sloping sandy bottom, transparent and crystalline waters, a daydream in a nutshell. The bay that houses it is surrounded by high cliffs covered with thick Mediterranean vegetation that reaches the beach thus giving an almost exotic atmosphere. The homograph village behind it is the perfect base for your holiday on Samos given its wealth of accommodation, typical taverns where you can meet Greek cuisine and all the primary services for a comfortable holiday. The beach is well equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, showers, in some places even lifeguards, and games to play with the family or with old or new friends. For the more reserved, however, a section is completely free and shaded by the providential trees. Given its beauty and its services, during the summer it is a little crowded and if you want to enjoy it, just get there in the morning when everyone is still asleep. It can be reached by going southeast keeping Vathi as a reference point.

Balos Beach

Balos beach is located southwest in the Marathokampos Gulf. Near the Koumeika village you will find a wide beach made of small stones mixed with sand, shallow waters for the first few meters from the shore and a blue sea with clear and transparent waters. In the large bay, within a radius of about twenty kilometres, other wonderful beaches await you for a wonderful day at the beach. However, Balos beach is almost always quiet and not very busy, therefore perfect for those who want a little privacy and silence. It is also the port of the homonymous village where the fishermen dock after their fishing trips. It is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas while to eat or drink just go behind it where there are many typical taverns to enjoy excellent fresh fish or bars for something less demanding. Snorkelling in this part of Samos is fascinating due to its marine fauna and flora. To reach it you need to get to Marathokampos and follow the signs for Balos.

Kaladakia Beach

The picturesque Kaladakia beach is found in the southwest area of Samos sandwiched between the Koumeika village and the Marathokampos village. A small strip hidden among the pebble rocks so if you are not a fakir, it is better to have rock shoes and a sea, as always, fabulous with clear waters and depths that descend slowly for the first few metres. It is served with umbrellas and sunbeds as well as a typical tavern for catering. Perfect for diving or snorkelling lovers thanks to the rock formations on the sides which shelter the marine inhabitants and above all shelter it from the winds. If you get bored staying on the beach, you can venture out to discover the stupendous natural caves where the water turns blue-green and changes color depending on the light. Given its small capacity, it would be better to get there early in the morning so as to enjoy in peace what Mother Nature has been able to give. To reach Kaladakia beach you need to be autonomous. Keep Karlovasi as a reference point and go southwest following Martathokampos to the parking lot where you can leave your car or scooter and continue on foot along a dirt path for a few minutes.

Lemonakia Beach

Lemonakia beach is one of the most popular on Samos, about ten kilometers north-west from Vathi. Enclosed in a small cove surrounded by high cliffs covered with Mediterranean scrub that reach the shore, it is perfect for a lazy day at the beach as its position is well sheltered from the winds. Four hundred meters of soft light sand with a few small pebbles, a sparkling blue sea with clear waters and shallow waters for the first three meters, therefore also suitable for families with children. It is partly equipped with umbrellas, sunbeds and a typical tavern while one area is completely free. Snorkelers will enjoy exploring the vibrant underwater world. To get to Lemonakia beach you have to reach the northern part of Samos and follow the signs for Kokkari and finally the signs for the beach.

Livadaki Beach

Livadaki beach is located in the northeastern part of Samos thirteen kilometers from Vathy. Hidden in a fabulous bay, it has a shoreline of soft white sand, clear and warm waters with a Caribbean colored sea. The seabed gradually slopes down making it ideal for families with small children and for those who love to swim. Rock formations surround the beach becoming an excellent opportunity for snorkelers in search of small fish and marine plants. It is well equipped with free umbrellas and sunbeds but with the obligation to consume something and behind it a new beach club immersed in an exotic vegetation of palm trees where you can eat something or relax during the hottest hours. It is also possible to have free kayaks and set out to discover the inlet. It is usually well protected from the winds but being a bit demanding getting there it is better to keep an eye on the weather conditions in order to avoid an empty journey. Being very popular, comforts run out quickly so wake up early and enjoy this little corner of paradise as much as you can. Reaching Livadaki beach is not difficult, perhaps a bit challenging because of the road which is all dirt so you have to be very careful with your vehicles. Keeping Vathi as a point, push north from the coastal road following for Kotsika and Agia Paraskevi. Follow the dirt road for three kilometers and you will have arrived.

Megalo Seitani Beach

Megalo Seitani beach is, together with its smaller sister, an incredibly hidden and wild beach, therefore perfect for those who love nature and do not need too many comforts. In a northwesterly direction it is fifteen kilometers from the town of Karlovasi. At the end of a canyon and closed in a bay with high cliffs dotted with trees, it has a large beach of golden sand and a sea with many shades of blue, crystal clear waters and large slabs of rock near the shore so be careful when you enter . Despite being in a closed environment, sometimes strong winds manage to penetrate so we advise you to look at the weather conditions also because large dangerous waves form. Being in the middle of nowhere, it is not equipped, you have to bring everything with you and for shelter there are the trees that surround it. Getting to Megalo Seitani beach is not quite that simple, you need to have a spirit of adventure and love trekking. First you must first reach the smaller Mikro Seitani beach and from here take a mountainous path for about three and a half kilometers. Keep in mind that the route is arduous among dense vegetation and with overhangs between steep rocks and dizzying heights therefore, if you are not experts, we do not recommend it. Luckily there is an alternative and therefore everyone will be able to enjoy this particular corner of Samos and it is by sea. Every day from Karlovasi there are organized day trips.

Micro Seitani Beach

The mysterious and alluring Mikro Seitani beach is located just before Megalo Seitani beach in the northwest of Samos. Hidden in a mountainous part and wedged in an inlet with white rock formations shaped by atmospheric events and dotted with rich vegetation, it is a small coast of coarse light sand mixed with pebbles bathed by a blue sea with clear and clear waters. The seabed immediately becomes deep therefore not suitable for children. A corner of paradise where man still and hopefully never will has still arrived and where Mother Nature is still in its original and wild form. Nothingness is what you will find at Mikro Seitani beach, so if you decide to come this far, bring everything you need starting from clothing, especially in terms of shoes, tennis or trekking shoes are better, flip-flops are banned. This beach is much loved by naturists as it is very difficult to reach and where peace and relaxation are the masters. Together with its older sister it falls within the Natura 2000 biological park and is therefore protected. Also in this case, consult the weather before embarking on the journey because when the wind blows, the sea swells, creating risky waves. Here is the sore point, how to get there! So first of all you have to reach Potami and from there take a hiking trail of about four kilometers following the red crosses as indications among olive groves, woods and rocky areas. For those who don't feel like opting for this option, there are always day trips by sea that leave from Karlovasi, but frankly, the choice is not the same.

Mourtia Beach

Mourtia beach, also known as Mourti, is located seven kilometers north-east of the capital Vathy, also called Samos Town and a couple of kilometers from the Kamara village. A solitary beach, inside a bay with a pebble beach of various sizes, a turquoise and emerald sea with deep waters and crystalline waters. Behind high mountains that preserve it when the Greek winds blow on the islands covered with olive groves and maritime pines. Exotic palm trees on the shore give the area a tropical landscape. Wild and unequipped, it is perfect for those who love raw nature, so if it will be a stop during your holiday in Samos, remember to bring everything you need for both drinking and eating as well as a comfortable mattress if you don't like being in contact with the stones. Absurdly, a small pier where fishermen or those lucky enough to have their own boat usually dock. From here it is also possible to reach two small hidden treasures of Samos, Mikri Lakka beach and Megali Lakka beach less than a kilometer away, ideal for snorkelling and fishing lovers. But there's more, the small Kasonisi island divided by a thin strip of land from the sea, is another wonderful place where you can find waters with iridescent colors from bright emerald to turquoise for a regenerating swim. It will be important to be autonomous with the means as the public service does not exist here. Set Kamara on your navigator and once you arrive, the beach is just below.

Mykali Beach

Mykali beach is southeast of Samos ten kilometers from Vathy not far from the Psili Ammos village. Three kilometers long but rather narrow, it has a coastline of small flat pebbles mixed with some areas of sand, transparent and almost always calm waters given its favorable position in a protected bay. The sea that goes from turquoise to blue has depths that become deep very quickly so if you are with children be careful. Given its size, it can accommodate many visitors without ever being on top of each other. In the centre, it is equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, typical taverns, beach bars and water sports centres, ideal for those who love comfort. Those who, on the other hand, want a little more privacy and enjoy only the sounds of nature, there are completely free sections but remember to bring everything, even something to shelter from the sun because of little or no trees. It should be emphasized that here the waters are a bit colder than on other beaches due to the currents generated by the strait that separates Samos from the Turkish coasts. The luxuriant vegetation behind it gives a particular atmosphere, one can venture almost heavenly. On the Mykali beach you can find wonderful shells that the Aegean gives away with all its love and power. Reaching it is easy, it is always better to have your own vehicle to manage the time independently, just put Psili Ammos on the navigator and the game is done. For those who prefer public transport, there are buses from the major tourist towns during the day.

Potami Beach

Potami beach, also one of the most popular on Samos, is five kilometers northwest of Karlovasi where one of the most fertile areas of the island is located. Eight hundred meters long, and with a particular shape if seen from above it resembles the number three due to the slender strip of sand and a rock that divides the coast creating the shape, it is made up of small clear pebbles that change color with the light up to seem pink mixed with sand and crystal clear turquoise waters. Here too the seabed drops almost immediately so if you are not good swimmers be careful. It is surrounded by high mountains covered with thick Mediterranean scrub which, in contrast with the colors of the sea, make the landscape idyllic. Even with the presence of high cliffs, when the wind blows the sea swells and becomes dangerous with its waves. Definitely suitable for those who do not have problems with Eolo and above all for snorkelers for its lively depths. The main peculiarity of Potami beach is undoubtedly the river (Potami in Greek means river) which flows in the center of the shore. It is equipped with umbrellas, sunbeds, bathrooms, a tavern for eating and drinking as well as a small bar for something quick and light. The best time is sunset don't miss it! It can be reached from the main road in the direction of Karlovasi by following the signs for Potami or with a public bus but always check the timetables.

Potokaki Beach

Potokaki beach is three kilometers from the town of Pythagorion southeast of Samos opposite the Ireon village. Rated as the largest on the island, it stretches for four kilometers with sand mixed with pebbles, a clean and transparent sea that is always calm with a gently sloping seabed, in fact it is a favorite with families with children. To the east it is equipped with umbrellas, sunbeds which are mostly owned by the hotels overlooking the beach, volleyball courts and several kiosks for catering. There is so much choice of water sports that will make you spend a fun day at the beach. The western part, on the other hand, is free, people who don't like confusion but who want to stay in contact with nature come here. You can find shelter under a tamarisk tree which dots the coast. Every year it is awarded the Blue Flag for the quality of its services and the maintenance of the environment. You can get there easily, or autonomously keeping Pythagorio as a reference point, or with a public bus.

Tsamadou Beach

Tsamadou beach is located southeast of Samos a couple of kilometers from the picturesque Kokkari village. In a delightful bay embraced by high cliffs covered by a dense vegetation of pines and olive trees and by gentle hills, it has a long beach of white pebbles (bring shoes if you have delicate feet), a particularly transparent sea so as to be able to see the depths for several meters that descend very quickly from the shore so be careful with the little ones. It is equipped with sunbeds, parasols and a kiosk for fast food. If, on the other hand, you are used to sitting at the table and having a full meal, just go to Kokkari where you will only have to choose which tavern to sit in. It is the only beach on Samos recognized for naturism but only in the eastern part where it is free. Snorkelers will find a natural playground here in search of the vibrant marine fauna and flora. Very easy to reach it, direction Kokkari following the road signs. You will find a parking area where you can leave the vehicle and then you will arrive through a downhill path for two hundred meters. Those who are not autonomous can always opt for a public bus to the village.

Votsalakia Beach

Votsalakia beach is southwest near the Marathokampos village on the slopes of Mount Kerkis. It is actually more known as Kampos beach. Wedged in a beautiful bay, it is three kilometers long and is made up of golden sand mixed with pebbles with a clean and intense blue sea with a gently sloping seabed, ideal for families with children and swimming lovers. It has a few sunbeds and umbrellas but most of the coast is free. Behind trees to shelter from the sun and the village of the same name where you can find typical taverns to eat something local and of the classic Greek tradition. Votsalakia which in Greek means "pebbles" is also a good point as a base for staying on Samos, there are several opportunities ranging from independent apartments to hotels or small family hotels. Here the atmosphere is quiet, you won't find a lively nightlife, a few bars for a nightcap, nothing more. At the center of Votsalakia beach are some rocks that magically emerge from the Aegean and from here, the path that leads to the cave of Pythagoras starts, not to be missed. To get there just head towards Marathokampos and follow the signs to the beach.

Tsabou Beach

Tsabou beach is located on the north east coast near the Avlakia village and fifteen kilometers from Vathy. In a large bay, it is a small coast of large flat white pebbles and in this regard we recommend rock shoes, a turquoise sea intended with clear and transparent waters with an immediately deep seabed. Lovers of snorkelling and diving will find very interesting abysses to explore on Tsabou beach. Its position being open, it is not protected from the winds that always blow here so think about it if you want to spend a whole day there. It is equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds which are essential if you want to stay comfortable and not far away is a bar for something cool to drink and quick to eat. The environment is still uncontaminated and nature has remained as it was in its origins, one of the reasons that drives so many visitors to come for a day at the beach. To the west you will find smaller and more isolated coves, ideal for those who want more privacy; about three kilometers away is the Agios Konstantinos beach. To reach Tsabou beach you have to follow the main road from Vathi towards Karlovasi and immediately after Avlakia at a crossroads take the circular road that leads to Tsabou.

Kokkari Beach

Kokkari beach is the city beach of the picturesque village northwest of the capital Vathy. A coast of white gravel mixed with sand so as a precaution, bring rock shoes, clean waters and a blue sea with a seabed that drops quite quickly. Unfortunately, the area is not very protected from the winds, in fact, the Kokkari beach is very popular for all those water sports that need it. It is well equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, beach bar for something quick to eat and drink. If, on the other hand, you prefer to comfortably put your legs under the table, just go behind the beach where the village of the same name offers a vast choice of typical taverns with a gastronomic proposal linked to traditional Greek cuisine based on delicious appetizers and very fresh fish. For those wishing to stay in this part of the island, Kokkari has many possibilities and is a perfect base for exploring the area. Kokkari beach can be reached very easily, just put the name of the village on the navigator and follow the directions.

Posidonius Beach

Posidonio beach is located on the east coast less than ten kilometers south of the capital Vathy. It is the beach of the village of the same name and is part of a beautiful bay which also houses other pearls such as Kerveli beach, Klima beach or Sidera beach. A small beach that is always quiet in an inlet that shelters it from the winds unlike other coasts of the gulf which are instead very subject to the tantrums of Aeolus, it is made up of a narrow coast of small pebbles with clear waters and an emerald sea with seabeds they descend slowly but only for the first few meters from the shore. All around tall pines that give natural shade. It is well organized with sunbeds and umbrellas while as far as catering is concerned, just take a stroll and choose one of the typical taverns in the village that offer tasty fish dishes and delicacies of classic Greek and local cuisine. To reach Posidonio beach go towards Paleokastro and follow the signs through dense forests and breathtaking views.

Agios Konstantinos Beach

Agios Konstantinos beach can be found on the north coast about twenty kilometers from the city of Samos, the capital. In truth they are a series of small beaches all of gravel mixed with pebbles with a blue sea and extremely transparent waters. Much loved by the locals who gather at the weekend for a fantastic day at the beach, it is not equipped but behind it the village of the same name offers several taverns where you can eat or drink something. Agios Konstantinos village consists of two settlements Ano (upper) and Kato (lower). An idyllic place full of lush greenery and also an excellent base for accommodation. You will be spoiled for choice for beaches because a short distance away you can find Tsampou beach and Petalides beach.

Papa Beach and Ireon Beach

Let's start with Papa beach. It is located southeast of Samos less than a kilometer from the Ireon village. A beach and a gravel seabed, transparent waters and turquoise sea. If you are not used to stones, we recommend rock shoes to be more comfortable moving around in the water. It is equipped with a few sunbeds and umbrellas given by the owner of the small tavern where you can find delicious dishes or quick snacks. Ireon beach, on the other hand, is less than a kilometer from Papa beach, from which it can be reached via a path. Long and wide, it is also gravelly surrounded by trees that shelter from the sun during the hottest hours. The sea is clear and transparent and in the center you will find sunbeds and umbrellas as well as several taverns in the homonymous village. In Ireon there is the important temple of Hera, an excellent alternative if you get tired of being on the beach.
