Isternia BeachTinos

Isternia beach is located in the northwestern part of  Tinos island about thirteen kilometers from the capital in the small village of the same name in the picturesque Ormos bay.

Two small beaches divided between them by a rock formation where on one side we find a coastline of soft golden sand, while on the other the beach is made up of small clear pebbles. In common crystal clear and very clean waters of iridescent blue.

Sheltered from the winds due to its position and the rolling hills that surround them, there are not only a few trees that give natural shade during the hot summer days and a few fixed umbrellas no sunbeds so remember to bring a hat with you to shelter from the sun in case they were all busy.

For something fresh to drink or eat there are no problems, just behind the two coves, the village with its typical taverns where you can let yourself be carried away by the flavors of traditional Greek and local cuisine and a café where you can enjoy a moment of break maybe making friends with the inhabitants. For those who want tranquility and relaxation for their holiday in Greece, you can find various accommodations such as apartments or guest houses in this secluded area of Tinos which is still an excellent base for exploring the area.

A peculiarity of Isternia beach is that the sunset turns into a real spectacle of nature and in the distance with the silhouette of the island of Syros a swim is a must.

For trekking lovers, the path that connects the road from the village can be a valid alternative to break the day with the beach.

Better to have your own vehicle, we recommend the car because of the wind that sometimes blows on the island, take the main road and follow the signs for the village of Isternia and you will be there.

A bath or a walk, perhaps at sunset, is the best time to enjoy Isternia beach to be noted among the things to do in Tinos and maybe stop for dinner in one of its taverns with a look towards the horizon.
