Krifi Ammos Beach Skiathos

2 minutes to read

We find Krifi Ammos beach in the southwest part of the beautiful Skiathos island about eight kilometers from Troulos beach and less than a kilometer from Agia Eleni beach.

Called "the hidden beach", it is sheltered between two high cliffs and with its circular shape it has a coast of sand mixed with pebbles, clean and crystalline waters with an intense turquoise sea with depths that descend quite quickly so really suitable for families with children but not only for this reason, even reaching it if you have children with you is difficult and then understanding why.

Krifi Ammos beach is a small corner of paradise, not very well known and almost never crowded apart from the summer period when Skiathos is full of visitors, it is more the locals who love to come especially on Sundays to spend a wonderful day at the beach.

It is equipped with a few sun loungers and straw umbrellas (the cost is € 10 per day) and given its small size, availability is really scarce so if you want to be comfortable it would be better to reach it early in the morning so you can have your deck chair and stay sheltered under your parasol during the hottest hours. As for catering, there is a small and traditional tavern where you can find refreshing drinks and delicious dishes of Greek and local cuisine with the added value of a view of the immense Aegean.

Snorkelers at Krifi Ammos beach will have a lot of fun searching the rocks for marine fauna and flora, so don't forget to pack fins, a snorkel, a mask and maybe an underwater camera.

Krifi Ammos beach is perfect for those who want to stay away from the crowds and enjoy a day with a sea that will leave you speechless.

How to get to Krifi Ammos Beach

So it's not impossible, certainly quite challenging but if you have a spirit of adventure it will be a memorable trip out of town.

Heading south-west keeping for example Skiathos Town the capital as a reference point, follow the coastal road passing through Troulos and then continue north passing Agia Eleni and continue the indications from the signs. At a certain point the paved road ends and the dirt road begins. You will arrive at a parking lot where you will have to leave your vehicle to start a small descent which is quite steep so be very careful as they are steps dug into the mountain and therefore uneven (better if you tackle them with tennis shoes and not flip flops) and you will have arrived.

Better as always to have a rental vehicle, but if you don't feel like driving during your holiday in Skiathos you can take public transport and get dropped off at stop 24, then continue on foot from there.

Krifi Ammos beach is a stop to be included among the things to see in Skiathos, it will be a peaceful and wonderful day dedicated to sunbathing and sweet doing nothing that is never enough!
