Elia Beach Skiathos

2 minutes to read

The remote Elia Beach also called Elias, we find it in the south east part of the Skiathos Island, about thirteen kilometers from the capital on the opposite coast just to give you an idea by looking at the map.

This area of Skiathos is home to three wonderful bays with Mandraki beach, Elias beach and Angistros beach. Venturing into this part of the island will be like a catapult through time, here 'Mother Nature is still wildly intact and impressed with dense prehistoric pine forests and a territory not yet affected by human beings (what we hope will remain so forever).

The Elia beach with its almost exotic flavor has a coastline of soft white sand, clean and transparent waters but only when they are not hit during the night by the storm surges that can bring algae to the shore, a blue and turquoise sea with seabed that they descend gently, perfect for families with children and for those who love long and regenerating swims.

Pay close attention to the weather if during your holiday in Skiathos you want to go to this beach because its open position does not protect it much from the winds that occasionally blow over the archipelago of the Sporades Islands and if you happen just on the wrong day and when the God Aeolus is particularly angry, even taking a bath becomes a bit challenging.

It is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas for about € 8 per day while as regards the restaurant, there is a typical Greek tavern where you can find something fresh to drink and some dishes of classic Greek or local cuisine to eat all while contemplating the wonderful Aegean. Beware that lovers of naturalism love to park on the right side of the beach so 'if you are sensitive to the sight of human beings like mom did, avoid going that way.

However, the certainty remains that the natural beauty of the area, the sea of amazing colors, crystal clear waters and the dense vegetation of woods with a scent to inebriate the senses that surround it with the mountain range, make it a place of absolute peace and tranquility. where you can spend pleasant hours of relaxation as well as enjoy a view that will leave you speechless and finally recharge your energy, in short, a real isolated paradise.

How to get to Elia Beach

Here comes the point. Obviously like all beautiful and pristine things, getting there can be a little more pleasant but not impossible.

First of all, know that it is necessary to have your own vehicle, whether it is a car or a scooter, it does not matter, it is essential to be independent because there is no public transport that goes up to here.

Our advice since the Skiathos Island has an area of fifty square kilometers, the scooter is ideal as you will not have major parking problems and you can reach any area more easily (opt for a 125 at least). Then head southeast following the main road and road signs.

Note that the road is full of tight curves that flank the mountain passing through the pine forest until you reach a certain point where you will have to leave your vehicle. From here you continue on foot through a wooden path that will take you directly to the beach in a few minutes.

A necessary stop to be noted among the things to see in Skiathos, a remote, isolated beach where even in the most crowded periods you will find the right space and the perfect tranquility to spend an unforgettable day at sea.
