Tsamadou Beach Samos

2 minutes to read

Tsamadou beach, we find it in the northern part on the east coast of the green and multifaceted Samos Island about a couple of kilometers from the picturesque Kokkari village. The capital Vathi is fourteen kilometers away.

Wedged in a beautiful bay surrounded by high rock formations covered by lush vegetation made of pines, olive trees and a wonderful Mediterranean scrub at the foot of the hills, Tsamadou beach has a long coastline of white pebbles, a crystalline and surprisingly transparent sea so much so that you can see all the details of the seabed which however descends very quickly but of a blue and green color so as to give it an almost heavenly flavor.

It is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas, changing rooms, toilets and a small kiosk where you can find cool drinks and something to eat. If you want a complete meal, just head to the Kokkari village where you can choose from various typical taverns and savor the dishes of classic Greek and local cuisine based on fresh and local products.

Tsamadou beach we can say that the only official beach where naturism lovers can stop. In fact, the beach is divided into three sections, the part in the center is the organized one, to the east it is completely free and where nudists usually stay. If it is not a problem for you you can also opt to put your towel in this area and stay in close contact with Mother Nature. The western part, on the other hand, is completely occupied by the Navagos club, a picturesque beach bar with a fascinating history (read it on its website https://navagos-samos.com/about-us/ ). from stones, it is more livable with shoes to move better and above all unless you are a fakir inside bring an inflatable mattress to be able to lie down and stay comfortable. As for the shade, no problem here too you can choose from one of the many trees that surround the coast.

Given its favorable position, Tsamadou beach is almost always sheltered from the winds that blow on the Greek Islands, including Samos, therefore perfect for a relaxing day dedicated to the sea and sunbathing. However, check the weather before going there, because when Aeolus makes itself felt, small waves can also be created which, if you are not skilled swimmers, can also be a bit dangerous. Let's say that being one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, it is often crowded especially by locals and Greek vacationers who choose to spend their holiday in Samos.

Given the absence of sand, it is a real playground for snorkelers who can delight in the discovery of fish fauna and flora. So don't forget fins, mask, snorkel and maybe an underwater camera to immortalize the inhabitants of the abyss.

How to get to Tsamadou Beach

So towards Kokkari and from there follow the road signs to the beach where once you arrive you will find a parking lot to leave your vehicle and then go down a steep path on foot for about two hundred meters until you reach the coast. For those who are not autonomous, there are public bus routes that from the major tourist resorts arrive at the parking lot and then continue on foot.

A destination to highlight among the things to do in Samos, for a magnificent day at sea and relaxation. A real shame to miss it!
