Kopria Beach Rhodes

Kopria beach is located in the western part of the island of Rhodes about twenty-seven kilometers south of the capital Rhodos Town.

A small pearl between two cliffs that embrace the coast making the landscape wild and natural, formed by a shingle coast (I recommend the shoes if you are delicate) and bathed by a blue and extremely crystal clear sea. The seabed drops immediately overwhelmingly therefore not suitable for families with children and if you are not an expert swimmer, also because the area is subject to wind and currents are sometimes a bit strong.

For sure, it is a paradise for snorkelers, given the rock formations on the sides that give a lively marine fauna and inlets to be discovered and are an excellent springboard for those who love to dive.

The atmosphere on Kopria beach is peaceful and relaxed as it is not taken by mass tourism due to the almost constant presence of the wind and because of pebbles. It is much loved and frequented by the local population by virtue of the fact that there are not many tourists who decide to spend the day here.

It is equipped with free sun beds and umbrellas until last year and a small tavern behind where you can find something fresh to drink and eat simple dishes and classic Greek cuisine.

About twenty kilometers from the beach do not miss the opportunity to visit, the Kritinia Castle, a valid alternative for a walk. Exactly in Karami about two hundred meters above sea level, from its ruins dating back to the medieval period, a fantastic panorama of the green hills that embrace the bay and the sea on the horizon. It can be reached via a not very demanding stepped path. In the evening it is illuminated making it very suggestive and surrounded by that halo of mystery typical of castles.
