Navarone Bay

2 minutes to read

The beautiful Navarone Bay, we find it in the southern part of the Rhodes island about four kilometers south from the charming Lindos village.

It is a wonderful bay formed by rocks and surrounded by barren promontories with an almost lunar aspect that give the landscape an air of extreme peace and mystery.

The sea is spectacular, with various shades that go from light blue to turquoise to intense blue with transparent and crystalline water so as to make it look like a natural swimming pool.

The small sized beach is made up of small stones surrounded by rocks which make access not very comfortable and in this case we recommend that you always bring shoes. Half of it is completely free, the other part offers some sun beds and umbrellas. A peculiarity, the water is much warmer than in other areas of the Rhodes island.

Certainly given its morphology very suitable for snorkelers who can have fun with fins and mask to explore the lively marine fauna among the rocks and inlets.

The Navarone Bay, can be reached either by vehicle or by one of the beautiful excursions organized by boat which is certainly the best thing to enjoy the colors of the sea that are so beautiful that they seem almost fake.

Insert it in your travel program if you spend your holidays in Greece on the Rhodes island, it will be a pleasant experience from the naturalistic point of view since the area is very wild and still not targeted by mass tourism even if during the peak period it will be much more likely to find too many people, but it will still be worth it. Do not forget to combine maybe a half day in Lindos where even there you will have unique things to visit and that will remain forever in your memories.
