Even snorkelers can have great satisfaction here, a lively marine fauna and flora populate the abyss so don't forget to bring all the equipment to discover this stretch of sea. For a respite from the hot sun rays, behind the beach there are large tamarisk trees, an added value for sheltering from the heat.

The Livadi Geranou beach is partly served with sunbeds and umbrellas not many in reality, while much of the coast is completely free so you can 'put yourself where you like' and enjoy a quiet sunny day. The name of Livadi Geranou owes it to the important church which is located about three kilometers south on top of a hill. Archaeological excavations have determined the presence of an ancient pagan temple on whose ruins a Christian church with two naves was later erected. The view from here is remarkable, you can see all of Patmos and the surrounding islands.

Do not miss the 15th of August when an ancient tradition dating back to 1880 is celebrated where the sacred icon of the church, the Virgin of Geranos Capitanita di Patmos with the fishing boats is "accompanied".
