Psili Ammos Beach Patmos

2 minutes to read

The Psili Ammos beach which in Greek means fine sand is located about ten kilometers south of the Hora and is considered one of the most best beaches on the island and some even venture all over the Aegean.

A splendid bay of fine golden colored sand, sinuous dunes behind with tamarisk trees that offer a pleasant natural shade on sunny Greek days with a sea of intense blue and crystal clear waters.

It is not equipped, but a fantastic traditional tavern provides tasty traditional Patmos and Greek dishes with refreshing drinks

The southernmost part of the coast is frequented by naturist although nudism is not very tolerated due to the overflowing religious past of Patmos, but as we always say it is also right that these territories maintain their customs and that they are not their having to adapt to us but us to them.

Reaching it is not really easy perhaps for this still unspoiled and extremely wild, however there are two ways to get there. The first through the taxi boats that regularly depart from Skala or with the classic Greek gulet always from the port of Skala, or for the more daring and daring through a path that is not exactly comfortable than with a walk of about half an hour through the arid hills of Patmos arrives at the beach.

To go on foot you have to reach the Diakofti village, a famous place for the construction of the "caicchi" the typical Greek boats and from there continue along the path that runs along the old mule track.

Definitely a destination to visit during your holidays in Greece on the Patmos island.
