Agia Anargiri Beach Paros

2 minutes to read

The Anargiri beach called by the locals Agioi Anargyroi beach, we find it in the north-eastern part of the island about a kilometer and a half from the elegant town of Naoussa and eight hundred from the old port. Piperi beach is the first one you come across just after the city beach of Naoussa.

A small bay which, despite its position, is sometimes disturbed by the fresh wind blowing from the north, the Meltemi which, especially on the Cyclades Islands, when it decides to make itself heard, succeeds very well but which on days when it is absent, makes the coast a perfect place for a wonderful day at the beach.

Anargiri beach has a long coastline of golden sand mixed with some smooth and round pebbles, clean and crystalline waters, a blue sea and a seabed that descends slowly for the first few meters and then becomes deep. All around trees that give moments of respite during the hottest hours of the day.

The beach is partially equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas for around € 7 a day, some of which are owned by the hotels behind it. There are toilets and cabins for changing. As for the restaurant on the beach there is a bar that offers refreshing drinks and quick snacks, if instead you want a complete lunch and sit comfortably, some typical taverns are located just across the road which, despite everything, is never super busy apart from the high season when the island of Paros fills up with visitors, where you can taste the dishes of classic Greek and local cuisine. For those who don't like comfort, a part of the beach is completely free, you can find the corner that most inspires you, perhaps spread out your towel right under one of the trees to get some natural shade and spend there in peace 'all day.

Also as far as accommodation is concerned, Anargiri beach is located in a well-served area where you can also decide for your holiday in Paros to use it as a base in simple rooms for rent, apartments or small or medium-sized hotels.

Nearby, a small flat promontory where the sea and atmospheric events have dug small pits that look like tanks. If you want to explore them be careful because in some places they can be slippery so remember to bring rock shoes so you can move better and above all not hurt yourself with the consequence of ruining your holiday.

Given its proximity to the town of Naoussa, Anargiri beach is very popular with locals and holidaymakers so in summer it can be quite crowded, but for this there is no problem, the island of Paros offers so many coasts that you will have just spoiled for choice. But it is definitely very comfortable if one day you don't want to move around and laze comfortably lying under the warm Hellenic sunrays. A warning, be careful when it's a little windy because you won't exactly feel the heat, so grease yourself well with sunscreen so you don't find yourself lobster colored in the evening and with unpleasant sunstroke.
