2 minutes to read

The Piso Livadi village is located in the southeastern part of the multifaceted Paros island about nineteen kilometers from Parikia the capital. Let's say that Piso Livadi is in fact the port of the Marpissa village, another small pearl to visit during your holidays in Greece which is about a couple of kilometers away.

From the small harbor, small boats leave for excursions to the neighboring Naxos island, Mykons, Ios, Santorini, Amorgos, Delos, Antiparos and Koufounissa, an excellent alternative for a trip out of town and discovering other beauties of the Cyclades Islands.

A classic Hellenic country, with its taverns considered among the most authentic and refined of Greek cuisine close to the sea, offering always fresh fish, the result of the hard work of local fishermen, with its bars and cafés where you can relax and have a chat with the locals and for those who want a holiday in total tranquility away from the confusion, apartments and guest houses to enjoy the convenience of having the beach just a stone's throw away.

The beach of the Piso Livadi village is surrounded by pine and eucalyptus trees, a real godsend when the days get particularly hot. It is partly equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas and all the comforts for a relaxing break. It has a very long coastline and is of soft gold colored sand with a sea with transparent, clear and turquoise-colored waters. The backdrop goes down slowly, ideal for families with small children who can play and have fun in total safety.

At about three hundred meters the beautiful Lagoras beach also with fine sand and maritime pines that give natural shade, and still in a southerly direction from the Piso Livadi beach we find the famous Golden Beach one of the most beautiful in the whole Mediterranean for windsurfers.

In addition to the naturalist and gastronomic aspect (we recommend you stop to eat in Piso Livadi), the church of Agios Georgios Thalassitis dating from the thirteenth century is interesting to visit, one of the last four small chapels still existing in Paros. Inside there are precious frescoes considered among the oldest on the island.

In Piso Livadi a beautiful and heartfelt religious celebration is held on Ascension Day usually in the end of june where a large feast of seafood and wine is organized with the addition of many cultural and traditional events.

How to reach the Piso Livadi Village

If you have your own car or scooter, just take the paved road heading south east and follow the road signs. If on the contrary you are on foot, from the central bus station to the port of Parikia, buses leave every day in the direction of Piso Livadi. Always check the timetable because they change according to the period.

Another glimpse of the Cyclades Islands to explore and put in the drawer of your memories, for a day on the quiet beach and maybe a rich lunch or a romantic dinner in one of the places where the kitchen gives the best of itself. How many more reasons do you need to put it in things to do in Paros.
