Getting around in Paros

2 minutes to read

Paros island is the third largest of the wonderful Cyclades Islands. It covers an area of almost two hundred square kilometres, is twenty-one long and has an ovoid shape.

Dream beaches bathed by the majestic and unique Aegean Sea, it is no longer the simple crossroads for more noble islands such as Santorini, now it has a character of its own and is able to offer its visitors everything that everyone wants for their holiday in Greece, managing to satisfy even the most difficult and demanding.

But why choose a holiday in Paros? There can be many answers, there are those who love it for its tranquillity, those for its multifaceted territory, those for its unforgettable coasts and those for its fun, there may be many reasons, the result will always be the same, days wonderful to keep in the luggage of your memories in Greece.

Getting around is not difficult and also in this case there are many possibilities and there are many things to see in Paros therefore, decide according to your needs and above all book in advance so as to have more choice and better prices.

Car: always and only the most comfortable means in all respects. You will be able to load the luggage up to capacity and have all the equipment you need for any occasion. The roads of Paros are very easy flat and paved you will be able to get anywhere in peace. Of dirt roads few and nothing.

Scooter: a very valid second choice dictated perhaps more by the economic point of view. Even the two wheels in Paros are perfect for wandering around to discover the island and to go and see the fantastic island of Antiparos, for example which can be reached via a boat where you can embark the scooter at much lower prices than a car . Our usual advice is to opt for an engine capacity over 80 cc if you want to ride far and wide in Paros, it's faster and more comfortable.

Quad: given the absence of dirt roads or "white" roads, it is almost useless, but if you don't care about the price and this is your idea of a vehicle on holiday for a Greek island, you can also rent it, the choice is yours.

Public transport: the public network in Paros is really very well developed and will allow you to plan many beautiful visits to many places. As always, consult the timetables and destinations on the website to better organize yourself.
