2 minutes to read

The Agios Stefanos Beach, is located about one kilometer from Tourlos the area that houses the new port of Mykonos, and three kilometers from the capital Mykonos Town.

It is a beautiful beach of clear sand bathed by a turquoise colored sea, with clear and transparent waters. Gathered in a quiet bay protected from the winds, it is certainly suitable for families with children as the seabed drops slowly so that the little ones can play safely and the adults enjoy the well-deserved rest under the warm Mykonos sun.

It is very equipped with sun beds and umbrellas that cost from € 12 to € 20, a wide choice of water sports to have fun with your friends or family. Numerous taverns, restaurants and pubs are located near the coast where you can choose whether to have a quick snack or delight yourself with delicacies of classic Greek cuisine and still treat yourself to a gourmet menu in one of the refined and elegant restaurants. For those who love DIY, Agios Stefanos beach, it has a completely free hand where you can find a place and enjoy your day.

Very popular and very popular especially in the high season, it has a magnificent view of the harbor and you can rediscover your eyes and dream with the luxury boats that pass or stop in Mykonos.

But Aghios Stefanos is also a picturesque village with at least five hundred years of history as revealed by some manuscripts found on the island which, however, do not specify exactly the year of its foundation but attribute it to an ancient origin. The name derives from the small chapel on the edge of the promontory of the bay. With its cobbled streets and white houses embellished with colorful flowers, the landscape becomes almost like a postcard, and in the evening when the sun goes down everything takes on an ethereal and magical atmosphere. To date, thanks to the rapid tourist expansion, Agios Stefanos has become a modern center where you can find all the comforts but in any case it remains a quiet and not chaotic area like much of the island.

During your walk on the coast, you can get lost in one of the many old churches that characterize the bay such as the St. Gioras of Machalivitis church, the St. Gioras Spilianos church where you can discover sacred paintings and why not light a candle for your Dear.
