Tripiti Beach Kos

The beautiful Tripiti beach, we find it to the southwest in the most extreme part, practically where the island ends. From the capital Kos Town there are about fifty kilometers (keep in mind that all Kos is about seventy kilometers long) and seven from the picturesque Kefalos village (in Greek means brain), the last frontier of the island.

One of the few beaches not yet so well known and exploited by tourism given its position which is more remote compared to the others, but where peace, tranquility (obviously not in peak season but maybe not even if you are lucky) and a crystal clear sea await you with open arms. From the beach of Tripiti on particularly clear days it is also possible to see the edges of the island of Astypalaia, the island in the shape of a butterfly.

A coastline of sand and small pebbles in a wonderful rocky bay about 120 meters long under a low cliff with a blue and transparent sea, with a very gently sloping seabed, therefore perfect for families with children. A small natural pool formed by some rocks will be the playground of fun for the little ones.

The Tripiti beach was born from the passion and love of Ioannis, a farmer and owner of the whole area, who wanted to give prestige to this small corner of remote paradise, equipping the beach with some bright green and blue umbrellas being many, as always, there is the concept of who first arrives, better lodges. There are no facilities or bars but before reaching it, you can find a guy who from a miraculous cooler bag will be able to bring out cold drinks to face a hot Greek day.

A tiny zoo with cute animals such as lambs, goats, chickens, geese and donkeys for the delight of children, and binoculars stored in a handy drawer to feel a bit like an explorer observing the ships passing through the majestic Aegean Sea and on the whole district. To reach the beach which is located under a small promontory, Ioannis has seen fit to create steps in the ground by putting bamboo railings to go down in total safety. Obviously there is no lack of the Greek flag that proudly flutters caressed by the wind as always.

Ioannis, is very keen that the whole area is perfectly clean and in this regard he has also taken care to put some garbage cans that all of you will have to strictly use to not leave dirt around and here we appeal to your civic and moral common sense.

It is not at all difficult perhaps a little long if about fifty kilometers and if you are staying in Kos Town for you they are to be considered long but easily feasible obviously with a rental vehicle that can be a car rather than a scooter. So following the only road on the island you have to get to Kamari bay in the village of Kefalos, go up towards the village and then take the final tip of Kos to Agios Theologos (where among other things there is also a restaurant directly with overlooking the sea where you can eat very well you can not miss it there is only him). Before arriving at the very end of the road on your right you will find a small blue white chapel with signs for Tripiti Beach. Follow the signs and after a couple of kilometers of dirt road you will arrive at your destination.
