Apella Beach Karpathos

About eighteen kilometers north of the capital Pigadia, we find this magical bay, the most famous of the island and one of the most beautiful beaches in Karpathos, someone even says one of the most beautiful in the Aegean Sea.

The central part has a group of rocks where you can find beautiful starfish and small fish (I recommend you do not remove the starfish from the water if they risk dying immediately), therefore ideal for snorkelers.

There are two ways, the first is by car, the second by sea. With the car it is impossible to make mistakes, take in the direction of the village of Aperi, after about ten kilometers you will find a crossroads, follow the signs. The road for one part is quite easy, for a stretch instead not too much as it has some hairpin bends and the rocky walls sometimes tend to crumble dirtying the road. Said like this it seems almost an impossible mission but believe us it is much less demanding and then anyway the panorama with the dense and luxuriant vegetation on one side, the rocks on the other and the blue sea on the horizon will make you remain speechless and will compensate fatigue.
