Achata Beach Karpathos

2 minutes to read

Achata beach is located in the eastern part of the Karpathos island about fifteen kilometers from the capital Pigadia.

A splendid cove surrounded by high coasts of clear rock with a luxuriant vegetation, a coast of sand mixed with gravel, all bathed by a sea that passes from turquoise to emerald and which makes the landscape idyllic. The seabed is immediately deep, so not suitable if you are not a good swimmer or have children following. The area is ideal for snorkelers as marine flora and fauna are abundant. A place to relax even on the hottest days thanks to the constant breeze that blows but does not bother, on the contrary, on some days it is welcome!

Achata beach is organized with sunbeds and umbrellas.  Behind a small tavern that offers quick snacks, traditional dishes, fresh fish and frozen drinks against the scorching heat of the Greek sun. Being very popular and known, in the high season it will be very easy to find many, so either accept it or you can if you want some calm and silence, come early in the morning so you can enjoy peace, nature and above all find where to sit.

How to reach Achata Beach

Is very simple, with your own vehicle (in Karpathos it is much better to rent a car rather than a scooter given the demanding distances and the many beaches to visit), you follow to the Amperi village where at a certain point you have to take to the right and proceed on a road with maritime pines and wild oleanders on the sides which reaches the end in a large parking lot just behind Achata beach.

A beach to be included in your itinerary when you are guests on the beautiful Karpathos islandfor your holidays in Greece.
