Gefyra Beach Kalymnos

Gefyra beach, we find it in the extreme southern part of the Kalymnos island on the west side about a kilometer and a half from the lively capital Pothia.

A small cove with a coastline of small clear pebbles, crystalline and spotless waters despite its proximity to the port, a sea that changes from blue to aquamarine, seabed that drops quite quickly a few meters from the shore. Gefyra beach is equipped with a few sunbeds and umbrellas, not much stuff given its small size with a few trees behind it that give coolness especially during the hottest hours of the day in case you weren't early enough to grab the numbered parasols.

It is very popular with locals as it is very close to the capital, making it an excellent alternative for a refreshing bath perhaps during the lunch break or after work.

Surrounded by rock faces, Gefyra beach is very popular with snorkelers who will have a lot of fun discovering the marine flora and fauna of Kalymnos. Even sportsmen who prefer diving are particularly numerous in this part of the island because the very deep seabed has many things to offer, so much so that just after Gefyra beach beyond Therma beach, there is the main diving center.
