Getting around Kalymnos
Kalymnos island is of medium size, bear in mind that it covers an area of 135 square kilometers, 21 long and 13 wide. Getting around Kalymnso is very easy, as always you will have more options:
Car: always and exclusively the most comfortable vehicle from all points of view. You will be free to draw up your daily itinerary and change it even five minutes before or simply by spotting a place that will strike you in a particular way. There are many rent a car, but as always book in advance so as to have the best prices. We advise you to make the delivery upon your arrival so you can save the money for the transfer to your hotel or where you have decided to stay during your vacation in Kalymos.
Scooters: we for example always and only scooters in Kalymnos. The roads are good, among other things, a brand new one was made a few years ago that perfectly connects the whole island so what's better than feeling the sea breeze on your face and above all not going crazy for a parking space? The only precaution, choose an engine capacity of at least 150 cc because the island is all up and down and some beaches are right overhanging at the bottom and on the way back, the passenger risks having to walk because the moped is hard to get on (tried person and I would even say no)
Taxi: as you will have understood in all the Greek Islands the taxi service is very well organised. The only flaw are the costs that can also become important if you have to go from one place to another but for this you can resolve the issue perhaps by sharing the ride with some other travellers.
