How to get to Corfù

Corfù island also called Kerkyra is found in the Ionian Islands Archipelago. An independent island like the beautiful Crete where typically Italian atmospheres mix as in the streets inside the capital or that French scent that Napoleon helped to accentuate by giving it that simpering air to then move on to transgression with the most popular places of young people for their mythical high school journeys.

A rich and fertile territory with breathtaking views, small villages suspended in time, immaculate beaches with soft sand dunes and a sea of crazy colours, cliffs that rise as if to protect the island, monasteries with a strong religious identity and dream islands like Paxos and Antipaxos.

Reaching Corfu' is not difficult given the proximity to our town, there are two ways, either by sea or by air.

By ship: there are many ports in Italy that sail towards Corfu', you can choose between Ancona, Bari, Brindisi, Otranto or Venice.

Ancona: the shipping companies that arrive in Corfu' are Minoan Lines, Superfast Ferries and Anek. Journey time around 14 hours and almost always with departure in the evening so as to sail at night. You can opt for either the deck passage if you are more adventurous or the cabin if you want to arrive fresh as a rose. It is possible to embark your own vehicle.

Bari: definitely the best location in Italy to get to Corfu'. Journey time varies from 7/8 hours with the Superfast ship to 11 hours with the Ventouris ship. Here too you can opt for either the deck passage or the cabin. It is possible to embark your own vehicle.

Brindisi: even from Brindisi the journey time is around 7 hours with the possibility of choosing a deck seat, seat or cabin. It is possible to embark your own vehicle.

Otranto: a novelty, a fast hydrofoil that will take you to the island of Corfu in less than three hours

Venice: definitely the longest one but which will take you across the wonderful Adriatic. Only in the summer is it possible to find the route with one departure a week. Journey time 24 hours with the option of having either a seat or a cabin.

By plane: especially during the summer, you can find flights arriving directly on the island from various Italian airports which, if booked in time, can also have very low prices.

If desired, it is also possible to fly to Corfu with an internal flight from Athens.
