Pantachou Beach Cyprus

The Cyprus Island, so little known to southern Europeans, offers many coasts where you can spend perfect days at sea. Today we want to introduce you to Pantachou Beach, one of the three beautiful and fun beaches in the town of Ayia Napa, a lively tourist resort where many visitors are concentrated in the summer for its excellent services suitable for a very wide audience. Ayia Napa is well known above all for its nightlife full of events and places to get lost until the first light of dawn.

Pantachou beach is therefore found in the north-eastern part of the island of Cyprus in the Famagusta region about four kilometers from the center of Ayia Napa in a westerly direction.

A natural bay just after the port of the town, one of the longest in the area that extends for one kilometer with a width of thirty-five meters, made of soft golden sand, clean and transparent waters, so much so that it has been awarded the much-coveted Flag throughout the years. Blue, a sea that goes from blue to bright turquoise and with a bottom that slowly descends, ideal for families with children and for those who love taking long swims.

It is super equipped, here nothing is missing, you can choose between various beaches that are equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, changing rooms, toilets, a team of professional lifeguards to ensure a quiet and safe bathing present in the months of April, May, September. and October from 9.00 to 17.00, while in the months of June, July and August practically the most frequented by visitors from all over the world from 10.00 to 18.00.

As far as catering is concerned also in this case, the embarrassment of choosing between typical taverns where you can taste the specialties of classic Greek, local and even Middle Eastern cuisine given the proximity of the island of Cyprus to Lebanon (the influence above all from the point of view culinary is very strong in these parts but believe us, your taste buds will thank you!), international restaurants, famous fast food chains, cafes where you can relax with a simple coffee or a refreshing drink, mini markets and shops. Even from the point of view of accommodation, the whole area of Ayia Napa is able to satisfy any need, ranging from a simple apartment to enjoy a holiday in Cyprus in complete autonomy, rather than small and medium-sized hotels up to large resorts equipped with everything and more.

For lovers of water sports, the whole coast is a real amusement park. You will find numerous points where you can dabble in disciplines you have never tried and challenge old or new friends and distract yourself with your family. Snorkeling is also an activity that can be done so don't forget fins, mask and snorkel.

For those who do not like equipped beaches but prefer to do it yourself, a part of the beach is completely free, arrive, choose the place that most inspires you, spread out your towel and enjoy the wonderful sea of the Cyprus Island.

As we said before, the whole area of Ayia Napa offers its visitors more than a beach, in fact about half a kilometer away to the south there is another wonderful coast, the Glyko Nero beach to finally arrive at the Maistrali beach a small strip of land two hundred and fifty meters long separated from the previous one by a spur of rock.

At the end of the bay you can admire the Love Brigde of Ayia Napa, the Love Bridge, a wonderful natural stone arch inside the fantastic Natural Park of Capo Greco which also houses the Sculpture Park and the Cactus Park. A great alternative for a few hours away from the beach and to break up the day.

Being in a very touristic area, being able to reach it is really child's play.

If you are autonomous, with your own vehicle just keep Ayia Napa as a reference point and always head south of the town. You will find ample free parking.

If on the other hand, you do not have a car or a scooter, the public bus service is very efficient especially in high season from many neighboring towns, including from Larnaca. However, our advice is to check the timetables well so as to organize yourself in the best possible way.

Finally, for the more sporty, you can also reach Pantachou beach or on foot with a nice walk if you are staying in Ayia Napa or by bicycle, the choice is yours.

A beach where you can spend at least half a day during your holiday in Greece, do not forget to include it among the things to see in Cyprus, it would be a good missed opportunity.
