Limnara Beach Cyprus

2 minutes to read

Limnara beach also called Kermia beach, we find it in the north east part of the beautiful Cyprus Island about two kilometers from Agia Napa towards Capo Greco the spectacular National Park, a site protected by Natura 2000 from the original and uncontaminated environment where it is located a unique biodiversity with many rare species of fauna and flora.

A coastline hidden by dense palm trees, three hundred and fifty meters long and twenty-five meters wide of soft golden sand, bathed by a crystalline and transparent sea with colors that change from blue to turquoise a real paradise. Given its characteristics, the beach of Limnara is awarded the Blue Flag every year for the quality of its services and the beauty of the landscape.

Large boulders of rock at the edge of the bay form natural pools perfect for a moment of pure relaxation. The seabed drops slowly but is mainly made of large stones so if you have delicate feet remember to prune some rock shoes to be able to move better.

The Kermia Beach is well equipped, there is no shortage of sunbeds and umbrellas, the presence of lifeguards with rescue vehicles and first aid from 9.00 to 17.00 in the months of June, July and August, always ready to give support and make you spend a very pleasant day at the beach. There are toilets, changing rooms and many water sports to have fun with family or new friends and beach volleyball courts where you can challenge yourself and shape your body. There are also centers to rent a pedal boat, or take a nice canoe ride and a nice ride with the jet ski.

As for catering, again no problem, a wide choice of taverns behind the beach will satisfy any type of palate with classic Greek and Cypriot dishes or international menus. For a quick meal, on the other hand, there are several snack bars and cafes where you can relax and take a break from the warm rays of the sun.

Limnara beach is much loved by families for its soft sand where the little ones can play and build castles while adults can enjoy the sea breeze and indulge in idleness and sunbathing. It is always very quiet despite being very organized, perhaps because it is one of the last in the Ayia Napa area.

Being right inside the Cape Greco National Forest Park, it also makes it a great opportunity for hiking lovers who can in about ten minutes heading east to visit the famous Caves of Ayia Napa, one of the most photographed areas in Cyprus. as well as beautiful secluded bays where you can enjoy a refreshing swim up to the cliffs that offer postcard views.

Still to the east towards the tip of the promontory, you can also reach the Mikri Ammos beach, the Kambouri beach and the Megali Ammos beach.

A sore point if we can say this is that on the Kermia Beach there is a huge hotel complex that occupies a large part of the beautiful coast but that all in all has not changed or spoiled the beauty of the place.

How to get to Limnara Beach

As a reference point keep Ayia Napa, from here you can reach it either with a public bus that stops right outside the Atlantica Mare Hotel, or by taking a nice walk through a coastal path that seems to be from the port of Ayia Napa about a couple of kilometers, by bicycle and finally for the more lazy, by car where you can leave your vehicle in one of the car parks in the area.

A very relaxing beach where you can spend a nice day at the beach with the family with all possible comforts. To be included in the list of things to do in Cyprus.
