Kimilia Beach Kefalonia

2 minutes to read

Kimilia beach, we find it in the north east part of the beautiful Kefalonia Island on the Erisos peninsula near the town of Fiskardo and other picturesque villages to be discovered in this part of the island.

A small pebble coast bathed by clean and calm waters, with a turquoise sea that only for the color scheme will make you think of some Caribbean place. Until a few years it was the secret treasure of the islanders but like all beautiful things with the advent of modernity, it too has now been discovered by tourists who during the summer compete to find a place and enjoy so much wonder. Behind it, cypress trees that create a unique and evocative landscape, a real godsend during the hottest hours where you can find natural shade.

In the low season it is certainly a very pleasant place where relaxation and direct contact with nature reign, but in the summer if you want to enjoy it in peace you have to go either early in the morning or in the late afternoon. Obviously, being a pearl still intact, it is not equipped so 'if you decide to spend the whole day there, remember to bring everything you need from something to drink to something to eat.

If when you arrive you see that it starts to get crowded, just climb the rocks that are to the right of Kimilia beach and you will find a corner made of large flat rocks with a slight slope where you can spread your towel and let yourself be caressed by the sun's rays and as needed. take me a nice regenerating swim.

Kimilia beach is very close to another beautiful beach, precisely Emblissi beach, another small paradise on the island of Kefalonia. They are connected by a path through a cool wood, which anyone can do.

How to reach Kimilia Beach

Part of its myth and beauty certainly owes it to the fact of its position. Nothing dramatic or difficult, but you have to work hard to get there.

As a reference point keep the village of Fiscardo and follow the main road towards Argostoli. Just outside you will find a sign indicating Kimilia beach. At the end of the road there is a path immersed in a beautiful cypress forest, follow it for about five hundred meters and you will have arrived in Eden. You can decide to do it with a vehicle but always be very careful because there are large holes and it is all dirt. A valid alternative is to leave the car on the main road and get there on foot, they are just ten minutes away from the sun and very pleasant in close contact with nature.

A still virgin beach, a place that releases peace and tranquility where you can enjoy a splendid day at the beach with a still original, luxuriant context and for this alone it deserves to be included among the things to see in Kefalonia.
