Sani Beach Halkidiki Peninsula

2 minutes to read

The Sani Beach, we find it in the beautiful Chalkidiki Peninsula in the first phalanx called Kassandra in a northwest direction about ten kilometers from the lively Nea Fokea village. Thessaloniki, where you will have to arrive if you travel by plane, is about eighty kilometers away.

A long coast of soft white sand, bathed by clear and crystalline waters, with a sea of colors that change from bright blue to turquoise to blue with a gently sloping seabed and allow lovers of long swims to have fun up to the extreme and for the little ones to play in total safety while the adults can relax under the warm rays of the sun.

Let's say that most of the beach is owned by the large Sani Resort hotel complex and that for those who are not lucky enough to stay there, there is a part right in front of the Anemos café. We will not tell you lies, during the summer and high season this small area is quite crowded but it is always worth spending a couple of hours there.

Sani beach is almost always awarded the Blue Flag thanks to its services and the natural beauty of the area. Along the coast it is dotted with tamarisk trees that provide natural shade during the hottest moments of the day, creating a relaxing and wild environment.

There is therefore no shortage of sunbeds, umbrellas, traditional taverns where you can taste local delicacies and classic Macedonian Greek cuisine given the proximity to this historic and important region of Greece, bars where you can relax with a classic Greek coffee, and a wide range of water sports to have fun together with friends or family. Sani beach is also equipped with a large paid parking lot about five hundred meters from the sea where you can leave your car or your scooter.

The environment that surrounds it is unique and particular as it hosts rare species of fauna and flora and in this regard we invite you not to pick flowers or bushes in order to give continuity to this small earthly paradise. On the Sani beach  the Day of the Environment is also organized every year with particular environmental activities and seminars to inform people about the importance of preserving our planet.

Continuing from Sani beach you arrive at another splendid coast where you will find Simantro beach. Soft and white sand with a dry perfect for the little ones with a dense forest behind it where peace reigns supreme and keeps out any kind of noise, a real oasis of relaxation.

It must also be said that the area of Sani in ancient times was a prosperous city since the domination of the Roman Empire. Over the centuries, it created dependencies with the monasteries of the sacred mountain of Mount Athos as evidenced by the ancient tower that dominates the hill of the Stavronikita monastery dating back to 1543 and very well preserved. Every year the famous Sani Festival is organized where artists from all over the world are invited.

Finally, for camping lovers, here in Sani there is a very well equipped one that will allow you to take a holiday in the Chalkidiki Peninsula in total freedom and in close contact with Nature.

How to get to Sani Beach

First of all you have to head towards the Kassandra Peninsula and following the road signs for Nea Potieda, pass it, turn right towards Nea Fokaia and continue until you find a large sign on your right that will show you the final piece to get to the beach.

A wonderful stretch of coast to be discovered and experienced even for just one day and we recommend that you stay there until sunset, a unique and impossible to describe spectacle. Add Sani beach to the list of things to see in the Halkidiki Peninsula, it would be a great missed opportunity.
