Glarokavos Beach Halkidiki Peninsula

2 minutes to read

The scenic area of Glarokavos beach, we find it in the south east part of the Chalkidiki Peninsula in the first Kassandra phalanx about three kilometers from the lively and popular Pefkochori village.

Let's start by saying that exactly between Paliouri is another charming seaside destination and the town of Pefkochori where there is a beautiful natural lagoon used by boats to moor which offers an almost exotic landscape and due to its shape it is also called "Blue Lake ” and is located at the very end of the beach. We can say that the best way to discover it and see unforgettable corners is definitely the boat even if staying directly on the shore of the nearby beach is not so bad.

Glarokavos beach, is a coastline mainly of sand mixed with some pebbles and in some points even of stones (in this regard if you have delicate feet and want to explore this part remember to bring some rock shoes so as not to hurt me), wet from a sea of amazing colors that go from turquoise to blue, from clean and crystalline waters with seabed that slowly descend, perfect especially for families with children.

Behind it a rich and luxuriant vegetation made of large trees practically a forest where campers usually stop and where you can leave your car. Glarokavos beach is a quiet beach, equipped for one part where you can find sunbeds, umbrellas and a beach bar for a colorful and fresh cocktail or to eat something.

An area, on the other hand, is completely free and here you can choose the place that most inspires you to spread out your towel and enjoy the generosity that Mother Nature wanted to give us. So let's say that if you want peace and relaxation the non-equipped part is the best choice, while where it is served it is a little noisier.

In the vicinity of Glarokavos beach, to the delight of children and why not even adults, there is a large playground made of inflatables directly in the sea, the Crazyland Water Park where you can have fun with your family or with old or new friends , an alternative to a full day sprawling under the umbrella.

On the coast in the equipped area there is a lifeguard who, like a lookout, watches over the sea and swimmers in order to ensure safety, however despite the popularity of Glarokavos beach there is no trace of water sports. You can still snorkel given the clarity of the waters and discover the underwater world.

How to get to Glarokavos Beach

Nothing could be easier to reach the Pefkochori village and from which to follow the road to the south. By car it takes a maximum of ten minutes.

It is advisable to have your own vehicle because there are no public services that lead directly to the beach.

An obligatory stop to be put among the things to see in the Halkidiki Peninsula even if only for a touch and escape.
