A small port with very few owned houses built just above a steep slope facing east with a view towards the Peristera island and the two uninhabited islands called the "Two brothers". The pier, which was actually conceived as a breakwater as its position does not spread it from the winds, has a very limited capacity, usually docked there are the fishermen's boats, source and primary activity of the inhabitants and some pleasure boats.

In the Kalamakia village people go above all to eat fresh fish, crabs and the famous astakomakaronada, spaghetti with lobster.
