Tzortzi Gialos Beach Alonissos

The scenic Tzortzi Gialos Beach, we find it in the south east of the Alonissos Island about six kilometers from the capital Patitiri.

A heavenly place and it is certainly not an euphemism, an isolated coast wedged in a deep bay surrounded by endless pine forests with cypresses and centuries-old olive trees that naturally grow on the surrounding rolling hills and which offers a still intact nature for those who love to stay in direct contact with the our Mother Earth. Unfortunately a part of the pine forest was destroyed in a frightening fire in the 90s but fortunately today, thanks to the intervention of the inhabitants, the trees have been replanted and regrown, thus bringing the area back to its original splendor.

A beach about a couple of kilometers long and narrow of thick sand and pebbles, bathed by an incredible sea whose colors range from blue to green with clear and transparent waters. The seabed drops very slowly so that up to about thirty meters from the shore the water still does not reach one and a half meters in height, therefore perfect for families with children.

Given its position it is always sheltered from the winds, here the waves or nuisances of the wind are not perceived in the least. Ideal for lovers of long swims and for those who love snorkeling given the transparency of the sea and the lively marine flora and fauna. Obviously there are no sun beds and umbrellas here, not even shade, you can spread your towel where you will feel most inspired and as a natural shelter you can take advantage of the trees that surround it. Being the coast of pebbles, if you have delicate feet, we advise you to bring rock shoes and just to be at the top, maybe even an inflatable mattress to lie down and enjoy the warm Hellenic sun.

To eat or drink something, a small tavern always ready to offer delicacies of the local cuisine based on fresh and local products. If you want to move in the immediate vicinity there are other small restaurants always of Greek cuisine.

An idyllic area of incomparable beauty, where photography enthusiasts can immortalize the landscape from the top of the gorge, the best point to admire what nature has been able to create.

Tzorzi Gialos is practically just after the Kokkinokastro Beach another place to be put absolutely among the things to see in Alonissos (go and visit the article dedicated to her beach of Kokkinokastro) and very similar to the small Chrisi Milia Beach as regards the characteristics of the seabed.

You have to be independent as there is no public transport that goes this far '. So taking the capital Patitiri as a reference, go north-east and the beach is just six kilometers away. The last stretch of the road descends through the luxuriant and fragrant pine forest, a real delight for the eyes and the sense of smell.

An alternative to a car or a scooter is the boat. Also from Patitiri there are daily routes that allow you to reach this little corner of paradise.
