NORTH PART

Tzorti Gialos Beach

We find it in the south-eastern part with a series of small coves that follow one after the other with verdant pine forests behind them. A coast made of sand mixed with small stones a couple of kilometers long. Given its position, it is protected from the winds, therefore perfect for swimming lovers. Ideal for those who want to escape the confusion and spend hours of complete relaxation and solitude.

Agios Dimitrios Beach

Also on the eastern side to the north it has a beach of fine and very white sand which in contrast with the sparkling turquoise of the sea creates an almost exotic atmosphere. Equipped and easy to reach.

Lefto Gialos Beach

Located on the east coast to the north, it is less than six kilometers from the capital. A small coastline of clear pebbles with crystalline waters and a thousand shades of turquoise. Behind imposing trees that give shade during the hottest hours.

Mavmakies Beach

A little more than twelve kilometers from Patitiri on the northwest side is the Mavmakies beach made of small pebbles and bathed by clear and clean waters. A wild environment still in its natural state, where the caiques are deposited in the winter. Nearby the picturesque village of Steni Vala where you can stop to enjoy excellent fresh fish as well as the delicacies of Greek and territorial cuisine.

Lakes Beach

Lakes beach has a small beach of sand mixed with fine gravel with a sparkling blue sea. Wild and perfect for those who love places still in their natural state where you and Mother Nature will be alone. A typical and ancient mill on top of a rock gives it a typically Greek atmosphere.

SOUTH PART

Chrisi Milia Beach

Bordered by centuries-old pine trees that offer shelter during the hottest hours, the beach of Chrisi Milia has a coastline of fine golden sand and clean turquoise waters. At the end of the beach there are natural pools wedged between the rocks where you can find a moment of privacy. Organized with umbrellas and sunbeds, it also offers leisure activities with various water sports. On the hill behind some traditional tavern where in addition to satisfying your taste buds, you can enjoy an exceptional panorama.

Kokkinokastro Beach

The meaning of its name is "red castle" (kastro=castle, kokkino=red). It is located on the east coast in a beautiful bay just below a rugged scarlet cliff. A coast of white pebbles with an intense blue sea and transparent waters. Near the beach the remains of the ancient city of Ikos (original name of Alonissos) and right in front of the small uninhabited island of Kokkinonis. The best moment is sunset, a show that will leave you speechless.

Glyfa Beach

Less than half a kilometer from the village of Steni Vale, the beach of Glyfa offers a beach of small pebbles mixed with light sand all surrounded by providential trees that shelter during the hottest hours and give an almost heavenly touch. Intact and still original, it is bathed by clear and turquoise waters while the view from above on the Aegean is something difficult to explain in words. Perfect for those who love to spend hours in complete relaxation. A delightful tavern with a veranda for something to eat or drink.

Megali Ammos Beach

More or less seven kilometers west of Patitiri, it is considered one of the most beautiful in all of Alonissos. Small pebbles despite its name in Greek meaning big sand, it offers a brilliant turquoise sea and extremely clean waters. Wild and unequipped, it is certainly a place to come for a day of tranquility in a wonderful naturalistic context.

Marpunta Beach

One of the most sought after during holidays in Alonissos. In the southernmost part of the island, it has a beach of small pebbles with almost unbelievably crystalline waters and a sea that goes from emerald to turquoise. Very well organized and much loved by families, it offers several taverns where you can sit and savor the delicacies of Greek and local cuisine.

Milia Beach

Enclosed in a hidden bay with the beach of Chrisi Milia on the opposite side, it has a coast of fine gravel and a light color with a bright emerald sea. Lush vegetation surrounds it, giving it a very suggestive flavour. It is equipped but remains almost always very quiet. Ideal for lovers of long swims.

Vrisitsa Beach

On the west side, less than five kilometers from Patitiri, it is wedged in a wonderful gulf that shelters it from the winds. A thick vegetation all around further protects the beach made of small stones mixed with dark colored sand. There are no comforts, there are no sunbeds or umbrellas, on the other hand as regards the restaurant, a small but very good tavern where you can find something fresh to drink and eat.

Agios Petros Beach

Heading south along the east coast we find the beach of Agios Petros. Intact and wild, it is not well known to tourists, therefore very peaceful and perfect for a day of relaxation. A marvel with a thick forest of maritime pines behind it, marble formations and a soft sandy beach caressed by clear waters and an emerald sea. It can be reached despite its secret location by bus from the village of Steni Vali not far from this little hidden corner.

Megalo Mourtias Beach

Southwest of Alonissos about three kilometers from the capital, the beach of Megalo Mourtias is made up of small pebbles, crystal clear waters and turquoise color. The seabed just a few steps from the shore becomes sandy, therefore ideal for a nice swim. Equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds while for something to drink or eat you can choose from some taverns in the immediate vicinity. If you like walking, a dirt path will lead you to the Chora in just over twenty minutes. It is one of the most popular beaches during the summer.

Spartines Beach

Spartines beach is a couple of kilometers east of the capital. Of gravel mixed with sand with clear waters and a turquoise sea, despite its proximity to Patitiri it is always very quiet. It is not equipped and to reach it the only alternatives are on foot or by boat. In about twenty minutes, always on foot, it is also possible to reach the traditional village of Votsi, which is not to be missed.
